Oh please Russian military no better if not worse. Remember the genocide they purposely set into effect in Afganistan killing anything or anyone that moves?
What did we do to Afghanistan? Made them stronger. Even if the right people didnt take to power Afghanistan has better infrastructure and better way of life than before we went in. Same can be said for Iraq or anywhere else we stuck our noses in. That cannot be said to any country Russia has stuck its nose in ever.
Utter lies. Soviet Union has took the whole country under their control and build a vast amount of infrastructure - hospitals, schools, tonnels, roads, everything. Americans took a couple of bases and were holding on them, nothing much else. Soviets build whatever Afghanistan had in terms of production. About this "Russians genocided afghans" - i've never heard of it, even from the mouths of the most insane russophobics around here, whose point of existence to splash mud on our veterans.
America started insane drug traffic towards north to Europe. I don't see the rise of drug dealing being a factor of "giving nation strength".
You can throw shade on America where not perfect, but the Russian leadership and military has way more issues and farthest from perfect.
Latest U.S. achievements in those regions absolutely disappointed me and a lot of people across the globe about this superpower. Their sacred war on terrorism in 2001 can ultimately be deemed concluded not when they left Afghan, but way before - in 2015, when American "war on terrorism" ended up in creation of an enormous terrorist Islamic State, that had to be taken down by the efforts of many countries, with one of the biggest contributions coming from the Russian Federation.
Over the past decade, U.S. funded dozens of programms to support a coup in Kazakhstan. Thinking, that U.S. is doing this to set up "democracy" - is way too naive, not in the Kazakhstan kind of society.
U.S. objectives are clear - to make Kazakhstan a hell on Earth, like Afghanistan, or what U.S. did to Lybia. A very unstable region to become a bleeding wound over Russia and China, with terroristic activities, raising radicals, criminals and problems pouring over borders of Russia and China. meanwhile extracting many riches from Kazakhstan soil all to themselves.
Fortunately for the Kazakhstan people, they were saved from the coming disaster by the brave decision of their higher ups - president Tokayev (and even likely with support of Nazarbayev, he's calling populace of KZ to support him), who clearly could see what is coming if they choose to "side" with U.S., and by that they chose to face towards Russia instead. For the better or worse, unknown, but this choice - a deal with Russia can be called at least a "lesser evil" for their people, instead of what the United States has planned for them.
I wonder why the big bad Russia has to clean up after every mess in the regions, that happen to has all the traces to U.S. ?
