You know we printed so much money thru COVID I really don’t care how much more we print and spend.
That cake is already baked. The “experts” will either be right and it really doesn’t matter.
Or they won’t and it won’t matter either way anymore

As much as we want to laugh at the ineptness of Russia (and they really have been inept!), Russia has been making some smart strategic decisions. They've done their best to avoid poking NATO into actually getting involved. This is a smart move.

And after getting their tails handed to them in Ukraine, they really have to be re-evaluating their military ability vis a vie attacking another country.

I am definitely not that optimistic Putin learned any lessons. As dictatorships tend not to learn from their mistakes.

Russia has been doing a lot of unexpected things, lately. Russia is far from stupid, so there’s likely a reason for this. It could be bluster to keep NATO off balance… I think it’s time we start expecting the unexpected, as there’s still many chess moves left, with no clear checkmate coming.

Something triggered the more aggressive stance since the sinking of the Russian flagship. There are elements of this war that won’t come out for some time afterwards.

They are not necessarily stupid per se but reckless. You need to think how a mafia Don would act in a given situation to understand what will happen next from Russia. Very scary when you put this in those terms.
 
There actions remind me of a losing player in a chess game maneuvering and constantly changing directions and tactics to defend their king.
Now the reports are this new grand strategic move to encircle the Ukrainian army in the east has been altered to smaller encirclement to stall or threaten Ukrainian forces in localize battles.
 
Submarines armed with cruise missiles provide additional capabilities for a second or third nuclear strike or to overcome/overwhelm strategic missile defenses.
 
Just to clarify, to launch a nuclear strike Putin doesn't need to use submarines.
He has plenty of Iksander ground launchers, which he could discreetly fit with nuclear warheads.
I doubt he would tip his hand by launching subs, which would give the enemy time to prepare.

I think its probably just for conventional cruise missile strikes, as submarines are immune to neptune missiles.

Yes there seems to be a shortage of cruiser to launch kalibars from right now
