The United States has given Ukraine and Russia a June deadline to reach an agreement to end the nearly four-year war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
“The Americans are proposing the parties end the war by the beginning of this summer and will probably put pressure on the parties precisely according to this schedule,” Zelenskyy told reporters in Kyiv on Friday, in comments embargoed until Saturday.

Ukraine MoD says newly confirmed support packages exceed $6B, including $2.5B for Ukrainian drones, $2B for air defense, and over $500M for PURL (air defense missile procurement), with additional discussion on Patriot interceptor supply and related air defense sustainment.

Delegations from Russia and Ukraine are set to meet for another round of peace talks in Geneva, as United States President Donald Trump pushes for an end to Europe’s biggest conflict since World War II.Russia is demanding that Kyiv cede the remaining 20 percent of the eastern region of Donetsk that Moscow has failed to capture – something Kyiv refuses to do.
Trump again increased the pressure on Ukraine late on Monday. When asked about the talks on board Air Force One, he described the negotiations as “big” and said, “Ukraine better come to the table, fast.” He did not elaborate further, saying, “That’s all I am telling you.”
️Sweden’s defence procurement agency FMV says it has signed contracts with Rheinmetall and Hensoldt for SeaSnake 30 (30mm) naval air-defence guns plus Spexer 2000 3D naval radar, planned for Stridsbåt platforms to strengthen air defence for Swedish amphibious forces. FMV states the order is about SEK 670 million, with deliveries planned in 2028, including integration support, spares, and a training system.
