Can the U.S. not do what it wants with its own money and policies? Or is that a privilege reserved only for Canadians?

Exactly. Why risk a nuclear war over tensions/ambitions like denuclearization which is a fools dream now. We need to stabilize relations and build a stable reality around the... Well existing reality.

We need to recognize DPRK as a legit nuclear state and lift the sanctions. They got them, and no way we are taking them away without too great of a loss to us and our allies. So, time to lift the sanctions and recognize DPRK as a legitimate nuclear power. Hate to say it, but they won.

I say, why risk accidental nuclear war by maintaining such high hostilities over their nuclear weapons when they are there to stay? They won. It's over. Time to move on with our lives before we blow it up over a hair trigger mistake that isn't necessary anymore to be on hair triggers with them.

Also I am saying drop the sanctions against their nuclear program. Not their human rights abuse. Of course. But dropping the sanctions on JUST the nuclear program and recognize them as a legit nuclear state and let S.K and Japan becoming nuclear powers. Things will settle into a stable status qoe under M.A.D and even maybe demilitarized DMZ in the long run.
