US-Israel/Iran | Peace Holds Reluctantly

Kuwait, Bahrain hit with new missile and drone attacks after US strikes on Iran

Kuwait came under attack from “hostile” missiles and drones, the country’s army says, while in Bahrain, air-raid sirens sound following fresh US strikes against Iran.

In Bahrain, which hosts a major US naval base, air raid sirens have gone off, the interior ministry says, calling on residents to “remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.”

Nothing will come of recent tit for tat.

Much like how the Korean war ended. There where years of tit for tat exchange on a regular basis before hostilities fully truly ended. And even then throughout the decades since the armistist exchanges across the border still occurs/occured.

As I said before. This war will likely end much like Korean war did. No official peace treaty or even a official ceasefire. Just. Slowly everyone walks back into their corner until the guns fully stop with absolutely nothing settled.

Really. Yawn. Iran knows American people to weak/have no appetite for any kind of commitments. Terrorist won folks. Only have decades of empire rot self inflicted from both parties to blame. Really shouldn't of have even been a problem for Trump.

Had what, almost 50 years to deal with this? Not saying Trump didn't fuck this up royaly, cause he very much did. BUT, big picture, not all his fault. Decades of blame to go around IMO.

Iran and Russia are expected to hold nuclear sector talks in Moscow in late June or early July on the contractual framework for the planned Hormoz nuclear power plant.

Rosatom is also continuing consultations with Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization on small scale nuclear plant projects.

🔊 Iran has no choice but to obtain a nuclear bomb to remove the military option against the country during the transition to a new world order, IRGC-affiliated Fars News wrote in a commentary on Sunday.

The outlet argued that Iran must achieve nuclear deterrence to gain what it called the “calm needed” to ensure other disputes can be resolved through negotiations.Fars wrote that only under such conditions would negotiations be possible from the “right position.”

It also argued that nuclear deterrence could create a balance of power between Iran, the United States and Israel and keep the scope of any possible conflict under control.

👉 Fars News Agency is not the Iranian government, but it is widely regarded as closely aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Because of that relationship, its editorials are often viewed as reflecting or testing ideas circulating within hardline political and security circles, even though they are not official government policy.

Iran walking into a corner willingly? Not unless they have the bomb in clutched with their pearls. They will never stop pursuing an aggressive approach towards their neighbors IMHO. While it could be similiar to Korea, I don't think we will have any kind of DMZ, and any kind of Maritime DMZ in the gulf/strait would effectively cut off all trade to and from the gulf. Because we know Iran/other groups will not stop attacking vessels, committing and backing terrorist attacks in the region. I hate to say it but the Koreans knew the hand they were dealt and so did we, Iran is a bit more of a wildcard in how they perceive peace/ceasefire. The South Koreans had every reason to want to settle the conflict as well, after bringing themselves back from the clutches of defeat. On the opposite side of that the Israeli's feel spurned by the US, forced to ease their ambitions as their adversaries will 110% be able to dig in and make it 10x harder to deal with them when the real deal actually happens, if it ever does. As much as I dislike Trump, I do think he is ultimately not wanting to see 1000s of dead US servicemen and women like the neocons that have been pushing for this to pop off want, I don't think the hawks in Washington ever expected Iran to innovate and put up this much of a fight.

As much as anyone tries to fully blame Trump for this you simply cannot. I DO NOT DENY that Trump isn't blame for the current catastrophic existential crisis we seem to be in AT CURRENT TIME.

👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉BUT THIS CRISIS DID NOT OCCUR RANDOMLY OR IN A VACUUM. THIS HAS BEEN DECADES OF NEGLECT. DECADES OF EMPIRE ROT, making deals with untrustworthy terrorists pigs who have never once held their end. You do not make deals with terrorists as they have never once stayed true to any agreements whatsoever.

So IMHO. Both the left and right equals in blame. Just that the puck ended with trump and due to the cards Trump was delt DUE TO DECADES OF EMPIRE ROT/AMERICAN PEOPLE WANTING TO HAVE THEIR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO, here we are.

Anyone who sees the big picture/not consumed by political party propaganda should NOT be shocked on how this ended.

Both parties have actively hollowed out American ideals/security/extensionalism for decades for their own self interest, then we all wonder how we got here. 🤢

As for Korean war ending similarities I never once mentioned a DMZ and wait for you to prove otherwise.

⚠️👉Back to the VERY legitimate point/comparison I was making. Nothing is gonna happen. It will end MUCH LIKE but NOT exactly like Korean war. SIMPLY things left unsettled indefinitely because neither side has appetite to continue but no appetite to admit defeat.

So we left with both sides walking back to their corner cause neither side truly wants to test their commitments/red lines.

SUPPOSE the wild card is Israel. But even then. Will be hard to get US and Iran back into a full scale war when neither side population has appetite for it.

You might be correct, so given our extreme aversion to expanding the war significantly. I mean it was never going to happen. What is the solution?

The nation from any political persuasion or perspective refused to commit to expanding the war in Ukraine. Including European allies.
Now we’re upset some clearly defined victory hasn’t materialized as we had hoped regarding Iran.
What everyone should be surprised about is so many expected regime change as the only acceptable result.

When did diplomacy and exertion of foreign power stop being an incremental process. Rather than an all or nothing gambit.

What is the solution?
There is none.

The terrorists won. Much like
North Korea did.

To many decades of rot from both parties have made this impossible to correct. American mentality is to have their cake and eat it too.

Won't work forever. And when a Western city goes up in radioactive smoke in a decade or so because the West thought they could evade consequences by burying their heads in the sand........ I'll be right here saying told you so to everyone.

👉But then again DOES NOT take a rocket scientist to predict this future. Anyone with a truly cognitive brain can predict this future in purely probability outcomes.

Moderator Edit: copied post from another thread since it related. But please take any Kazakhstan discussion to the Kazakhstan thread:
Kazakhstan signs historic deal with US on mining and REM.
Kazakhstan, US Sign Landmark Memorandum on Critical Minerals Cooperation - The Astana Times

Joins the Abraham accords

The Zangezur corridor is opening the Caucuses and Eurasia to US investment resources and influence with the west.

There is a purpose to it all.

Iran claims sole control of Hormuz, warns ships of more strikes

Iran has the exclusive right to manage traffic in the Strait of Hormuz under the preliminary peace deal signed with Donald Trump, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday, adding that attempts to circumvent its authority risk triggering more strikes like those seen in recent days.

The comments were among the clearest by a top official that Iran expects sole authority over the strait under the deal aimed at reopening the strategic waterway. They are at odds with American arguments that the deal doesn’t give Iran control and that navigation must be unimpeded in the international waterway.

I understand your pessimism. But that’s like saying the Abraham accords wouldn’t work either. We are already seeing results from that.
It’s modern nation state diplomacy and power projection.
There is ALWAYS a risk of failure or backblast.

This hasn’t gone where I hoped for either. But the rides not over yet either.

My post on the economic and development steps in Zanghor corridor. Trade with Kazakhstan. The net result of gulf states shifting their oil export routs away from the Persian Gulf and Straits.
The US exerting a great role in global oil supplies and refining.
If you think about it it’s a kick to the gonads of the Ayatollah’s. They have been a one trick pony for forty years due to the own oil supplies and ability to significantly constrain the world supply of oil.
That Monopoly cart on world oil supplies by the gulf states and Iran is being upended. Irans access to the teat of terrorism is going to quickly dry up.
They can join the 21st century or fade away.

US, Iran agree to halt Hormuz attacks, hold talks about strait in Qatar on Tuesday

After Iran said it canceled its participation in today’s technical talks with the United States amid mutual strikes in the Strait of Hormuz, the two countries have agreed to halt attacks on each other and to meet again on Tuesday in Doha to discuss the issue, Axios reports, citing an unnamed senior US official.

Your right. I will give credit where credit is due. Trump did extract some wins. But the losses outweigh any win and any deal with terrorists is doomed as it has been since, well, ever. So. The same reason why Obama deal was bad is same reason why ANY deal with Trump is just as wrong. You cannot make deals with terrorists. Only way to ensure our safety from terrorist nuclear blackmail is to finish off the threat once and for all entirely, no negotiation your way out of this. Sadly Americans have lost any kind of appetite for such commitments, many. Many. Many decades ago.

If negotiating was fairly or truly possible this WOULD OF BEEN DONE DECADES AGO. FULL STOP. Before most of you where even born this should of been handled long ago. But it hasn't for a simple reason. You cannot negotiate with terrorists. But because Americans got complacent/wanting to have their cake and eat it too, here we are...

Not to even mention or let alone terrorist state who want to obtain nuclear weapons to commit their terror acts with impunity/behind the protection of nuclear weapons. AKA nuclear blackmail.

But hey if Americans want cheap energy prices now IN EXCHANGE/FOR THE PRICE OF a nuclear armed terrorists state..... Then I say..... we deserve WHATEVER the fuck is coming for us. It will be SOULY due to our collective utter failure over many, many, many decades.

ONE SENTENCE TO DESCRIBE EVERY AMERICAN THE LAST 4 DECADES, ITS: Total & Utter Complacency. Then most act dumb how we got here. How we got here is pretty danm clear TBH.

Very. Very, VERY, sadly, this can be applied almost anywhere on the global theater the last, what? 60 years? It should be zero surprise the position we are in since almost everyone didn't want to do the hard part of maintaining a empire. Which the US HAS ALWAYS BEEN A EMPIRE. To say otherwise is to spit in the face of facts.

THEN people stupidly ask why we not getting "empire benefits/sway/say" anymore and in debt, jeeze, wonder why. 🥴 probably to late, but wake up America!!!

I'm sorry, then how exactly is it going to be similar to the Korean War? We are still effectively in a grey zone. No one here or outside of here can tell the future through a crystal ball so I apologize for prospectively drawing to conclusions on your broad comparison. The MoU is barely holding, calling this a similiar to a long fought for settled agreement like Korea is hard to understand in any capacity other than you meant a DMZ.
