It's moving North, North East. It's landfall shifting back to Tampa Bay........ now I just got more nervous...

My setup on the 6th floor of a hospital parking garage in Sarasota. This is the configuration I look for when intercepting hurricanes. Wind direction and speed generally won't matter, my truck won't even get wet. But I still have a great, safe vantage point 
Last I heard it's shifting more north, towrds Tampa Bay. You may miss the worse of it.
There talking about over $200,000,000,000 Billion dollar +++ of damages for The Bay Area.

We have access to some of the best forecasting science available, but in the end, these storms have unique personalities and they do whatever the hell they want to do. For instance, Helene was a drunk sorority girl trying to walk home from a frat party. Sometimes we're in the right place; sometimes we're not.

Condition deteriorating. Power still on surprisingly. Police on the road on their bull horns saying go home stay inside. That's a first, even more so for a non evac zones.

Not according to my radar. Still on course for Sarasota. It's close enough now we can use our own on-board analytics.

Getting hurricane force winds now. Eye wall 40.2 miles SW of our location, moving NE at 17 mph.
It's getting pretty bad here.
Brace ourselves... many more long hours to go.
Power still on miraculously with these winds. Don't expect it to stay on long as the winds continue to get worse and bursts more violent.
