This thread is for discussion only. ANY & ALL reports posted here will be moved to the Iran report thread as soon as I see them.

⚠️⤵️
Do not post reports here. If you want to discuss oil disruptions, quote the report from the Iran report thread and discuss it here.
@Lostpuppy PLEASE post oil related Iran reports in the Iran report thread. More broadly, anything report based on Iran should stay in the Iran report thread so it remains under one roof.

If I see ANY report posted in any thread besides the dedicated Iran report thread, it will automatically be moved to the Iran report thread.

This is not directed only at you. It is a warning to the entire community.

I let it slide in the previous thread because I did not have the time to police it consistently, but I am starting fresh here and I will keep up with it.

Do not take it personally. This applies to everyone. A lot of people across the community have been posting reports in places they should not be.

👉👉👉 So let this be the formal warning: keep Iran reports in one place, the Iran report thread. If I see them posted anywhere else, they will be moved. Do not waste your time or mine.

👉👉👉 Also, do not create separate Iran report threads. There is already a dedicated report thread, and any new thread or post containing sourced Iran reporting will be moved there unless there is an overwhelming reason not to.

Also, if you think starting a new thread will get your news more attention, it will not.

Statistically, the view counts make that obvious. The report threads are where the masses actually see things. Independent threads outside the report threads are seen by only a fraction of the audience...

So I do not understand the logic behind people making separate threads to get more visibility, because doing that automatically gives you less visibility, not more.

👉👉👉 If your goal is maximum attention, then the report thread is where you post it. That is the only place guaranteed to reach the largest audience. 👉👉👉Starting your own thread does not amplify your report. It buries it.

👉👉👉Independent threads may get a few hundred views. Report threads get tens of thousands. The numbers speak for themselves. IF you want people to actually see what you are posting, put it in the report thread. Otherwise, you are talking to a wall.

🚨🚨🚨
👉Getting 'fed up' by MULTIPLE members of forums. I am only one person and cannot entirely by myself structurally organized these forums and need everyones help in keeping it sound and easy to follow for viewers during a crisis such as this.

Let me clarify the standard here, because my point is actually very simple.

I am not saying everything related to the Iran crisis must stay in one place. I am saying the factual reporting must.

If a post is reporting on the Iran crisis, it belongs in the main report thread, KNOW IF ANDS OR BUTS, period. That is how information remains centralized, accessible, AND easy to follow during a live event.

Discussion is a separate matter. Discussion that grows out of those reports can take place elsewhere, and if a genuinely unique topic warrants its own discussion thread, that is fine. But the reporting itself still stays under one roof.

That is the line.

👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉This is not about control for its own sake. It is about preventing important information from being fragmented across multiple threads where people are more likely to miss it.

So one last time, clearly.... if it is factual reporting related to the Iran crisis, it goes in the main report thread. Discussion can branch off when necessary. Reporting does not. WHATSOEVER.

Truly genuinely do not care how important you think the information you found is it stays in the main report thread. PERIOD.

⚠️

PERIOD. There is no debate on this. This is how it is and will take action otherwise to keep organizational integrity of the forums during a crisis. Sorry I have slacked off on this.

I stickied this thread in comments and suggestions @DEFCON Warning System if you think I went to far feel free to unstick it. But just know I'm reaching my limit in the organizational flow here by myself because even though I've been very nice about it (until now) during this whole crisis people keep repeating actions I have repeatedly told them not to do for organizational purposes of the forums.

So this is my 'last stand' for my own sanity in keeping things 'flowing' on forums.

👉Probably good to remind people I CANNOT ban anybody, and have no real authority when it comes to making people do stuff. Still. Please heed my warning.

I'd rather see oil in its own thread. It really is a different subject to combat or military.
Typically I would agree but in this case economics single handly affects/decides the war so it should all be under one thread.

Otherwise viewers will miss important information because viewers as statistically shown on the thread view count shows discussion and report threads that are dedicated to the crisis get more views than independent threads.

During a crisis. It's important EVERYONE has free, unabated, easy access to import information that effects the crisis. My ONLY & WHOLE point.

I wouldn't expect 99% of people to sift through every single thread on this forum to find any important information for a crisis when they (and rightfully so) expect it in one spot as it should be.
