The Iranian presidency denied on Sunday the validity of reports that spoke of the resignation of President Masoud Pezeshkian , stressing that he is continuing his duties normally, while the Iranian president made direct statements in which he stressed his continuation in performing his responsibilities despite the challenges facing the country.Iran International English has now acknowledged that the presidents office has dismissed their claim.
President Masoud Pezeshkian has not resigned and continues to carry out his duties, IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported, citing an informed government source, denying an Iran International report that he had sought to step down.
Separately, Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, deputy head of communications and information at the president's office, dismissed the Iran International report in a post on X and said Pezeshkian would not step back from serving the people.
