DEMs cave in to GOP. Government to reopen soon. At the cost of DEMs healthcare ambitions. Seems like it will pass.
I don't engage in politics... however... since this is effecting military stuff. Thought I'd drop a remark on it.

Any sources I see indicate any deal still has to go to the house, which would mean Mike Johnson has to reopen the house which he has made clear he won’t do.
He will to open the government and pounce on the chance to make it look like he got the DEMs to cave.

To big of a PR "win" for GOP to pass up. GOP in Congress will always find a way to wiggle themselves out of releasing the Epstein files. As for affirming new Representatives I wouldn't think the GOP would not care anymore with all the gerrymandering getting done and DEM states inability to counter or do it themselves to match it.
Wonder if the DEM representatives will ever find their balls in their purse?
Again I'm only focusing on this because a government shutdown that is prolonged any longer will affect military issues and already is affecting military things.

No, dem representatives are in the pockets of billionaires, the same ones the republicans are in the pockets of. They all do what capital tells them to do, not their voters.
The "finding their balls in their purse" comment was about standing up for what they (DEMs) want like not caving in or countering gerrymandering by doing it themselves, which they are not... I am not a DEM. Not GOP either.
Both have become a cancer because they realize they are our only choices. Them or nothing. At this point. I choose nothing. Waiting for the last nail in Americas coffin.But hey. Your not wrong either.

California did but that was referendum. A lot of blue states have independent commissions that require referendum to be able to gerrymander again.
I’m not dem, I’m far left, so generally speaking I do vote and I vote blue, because I am viscerally against right and far right politics. See you talk about blaming the politicians for the divide, which they certainly enhanced it, but right vs left is a very old political divide, it’s just one politicians exploit.
