BREAKING: 4 U.S. Army soldiers from 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division missing during training near Pabrade, Lithuania, close to Belarus border. Lithuanian military, police, and U.S. forces searching. U.S. Embassy in Vilnius confirms ongoing search efforts.

Operative word "killed!"Delfi Media: The Lithuanian Armed Forces informs that on March 25 at 16:45, a report was received about 4 United States soldiers and 1 tracked vehicle missing during an exercise (along the Belarusian Border) at the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė .According to the latest sources, the US soldiers were killed.

4 U.S. Soldiers with the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT), 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Georgia have been founded dead at a training ground in Eastern Lithuania, near the border with Belarus, with it believed that their M88A2 Armored-Recovery Vehicle (ARV) sunk into a swamp during an exercise on Tuesday near Pabradė, Lithuania.

Hate to keep seeing service men and women die due to poor planning or otherwise, Every time these things happen it is hard not to think of all of the people that will be effected by the loss of a son, father, brother, mother, sister, daughter, etc...

Four of our brave soldiers from 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division are currently missing in Lithuania. They were conducting scheduled tactical training. Our prayers are with their families, teammates, the entire unit—and everyone conducting search operations. Nothing our troops do — whether in combat or in training — is ever routine. We will not rest until our troops are found.

It’s very hard to get out of most models who are designed to keep you in and safe. That unfortunately makes water the most lethal enemies any trooper (Cav) or crew member (everyone else) generally encounter.

It is a mystery why they will not announce the cause (which at this point one would assume they know).

Perhaps they’re having a communications issue reaching all the officers they have to fire and NCO’s they have to be reassigned. It’s gonna be like a moving sale. Almost everything goes. Getting or letting your soldiers be killed in accidents in the American army is very high up on the “your career just ended list” for officers.

"It has been confirmed that the search for 4 US Army has been stood down after the soldiers tragically lost thier lives during a NATO deployment,

The four soldiers were traveling in an M88A2 Armored-Recovery Vehicle when thier Vehicle disappeared at around 7 p.m. local time on Tuesday and was found earlier today after a large hole was found on a frozen lake. Divers where sent to investigate and discovered the missing Vehicle and confirmed the 4 soldiers where with the vehicle.

Found this on on Facebook, Site named Tanks. Being tanks.
If this is true, it was an Accident with an M88. They broke through a frozen Lake.
But unconfirmed.
