That's not great. It's worth keeping an eye on this.

Next time, and there will be one, I would hope when we are leaving or look like we are fleeing (Thanks Joe) we bulldozer all the equipment into piles and toss a W/P onto each. Once the scav's show we then hit it with CBU's followed by Area Denial Weapons (mines)
(Oh yes Junior, The USA still has and used WP, CBU's and mines, all types. Why you ask? Because they are like WD-40 and Velcro.... They just work.
Presto, no arming the enemy we spent 20 yrs killing. (Thanks again Joe)

I don’t know if the Taliban could overthrow Pakistan.
But they could certainly redraw their northern boarder.
If there was a scenario of a nuclear state at risk of being overrun and resorting to nuclear weapons, well this could be at the top of the list. Only the Taliban would be crazy enough to risk pushing a nuclear state this far.

And for that matter I can think of no one more deserving of nuclear annihilation than the Taliban. Aside from all the left over negative effects and such. So I’m just thinking out loud here.

I don't know, I think there's a few other groups that come to mind also.

Is there *any* chance the Taliban are coordinating with Iran against Pakistan? This attack was far to the north, while the skirmishes with Iran were to the far south.

Thoughts?

This region was also involved in a one-year long war between Afghanistan and Pakistan 1960 - 1961. Exact same area. Coincidence?

Do we know if the targets where of same tribal/militia groupings? If I am not wrong I recall that Afghanistan attacked Iran last year.
