Air 4/11

isnt this going to be somewhat along the lines of NATO countries selling their surplus Mig's to Ukraine? Didnt we do a similar dance to this not long ago?? Sounds like it would be somewhat direct involvement of the US vs Russia, something that we have been ostensibly trying to avoid, yes? What am I missing here?

Yes in away. That question of east European nations providing tanks and planes has come up again. Poland and Czech have already sent or sending tanks. The migs from Czech have come up again. The US gave the go ahead if any of them wanted to provide heavy armaments.
Basically to me it looks like everyone wanted to do it. But the decision was made to hold off to see if Russia would stand down if they were repulsed in the west. As it’s become clear their not going to. The arms loan deal was formally approved and now their going ahead with it. It’s not plausible deniability, it’s public deniably.
Russia can’t say look at all these American m1a1 tanks were fighting.
It’s perception but bound to happen after the Kiev was successful defended.
Now the fight moves to the east
