ALERT: Get Ready For Race Riots Quickly-WM Kills 9 African Americans in Church
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Police widened the search Thursday for a gunman who opened fire and killed nine people during a prayer service at a historic African American church here, in one of the worst attacks on a place of worship in the United States in recent memory.

At least one other person was injured in the Wednesday night assault, which began about an hour after the assailant entered the church and observed the service, authorities said.

“We believe this is a hate crime; that is how we are investigating it,” said Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen.

Officers in fatigues, some with dogs, were searching “near and far” for the gunman, described as a clean-shaven white male in his early 20s with sandy blond hair and a slight build. Police said he was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and Timberland boots. He is believed to be the only shooter.

Mullen noted at a 7 a.m. media briefing that authorities do not know where suspect is.

“This person is dangerous,” said Charleston Mayor Joseph Riley (D). “We need every tip we can get to bring this person into custody as soon as possible, and of course will make sure that he pays the price for this horrible act.”

At a nearby Embassy Suites, which was serving as an informal headquarters for church members, people began sobbing and screaming as they learned details about what had happened. “It was a heartbreaking scene I have never witnessed in my life before,” said Reily, the city’s longtime mayor.

Six females and three males were killed, police said.

She says church members tried talking to gunman. He said "You rape our women and you're taking over our country. And you have to go."

The attack came two months after the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man, Walter Scott, by a white police officer in neighboring North Charleston that sparked major protests and highlighted racial tensions in the area. The officer has been charged with murder, and the shooting prompted South Carolina lawmakers to push through a bill helping all police agencies in the state get body cameras. Pinckney was a sponsor of that bill.

Well the race baiting and paid mobs finally lit a spark that will burn the house down. This will be the tragedy used to really kick off a race war in the entire US.

Don't underestimate this tragedy. The kids are out of school, 98% of Americans polled expected race riots this summer. So the stage is now set and the match has been lit.

Instead of open season on cops, now it's open season on ordinary citizens.. I pray cooler heads and community leaders get this under control before the media incites..

How doe everyone think we can try and deescalate this before the media and the paid agitators get the upper hand? Is there any way to get out the message that no one wants a race war and can we please enter into dialougue without violence? And can these parents of the kids who are going to go crazy over this please control their children?

I haven't heard about this until now. My thoughts go to the loved ones of this tragedy.

I honestly just hope that this doesn't turn into anything...

It doesn't look like a hate crime to me. The media name dropped the shooter. I screencapped his facebook front page while its still up. He has several black friends on his friend list. I'm more attuned to the fact that another Senator was shot- making this more like the Gabby Giffords shooting. I can link the screencap here if its alright.

Perhaps that might be the case, but let's consider that not everyone is going to think rationally.

Jay's right, unfortunately. People with agendas are lining up to exploit this story, from race baiters to pro- and anti-gun activists, and so on.

There are a number of aspects of this story I'm very perplexed by, but I need to learn more before I reach any conclusions. I'll say this...it stinks to high heaven.

The 21-year-old suspected gunman told his friends at the trailer park last week that he wanted to kill people at a local college — but no one took him seriously because of his deadpan sense of humor, his friend Christon Scriven told the Daily News.

"He flat out told us he was going to do this stuff," said Scriven. Roof moved close to the Lexington, S.C., trailer park about two months ago, he said.

Last Wednesday — exactly one week before the Charleston church massacre — Roof told his friends and neighbors at the park that "he was looking to kill a bunch of people on Wednesday" at the College of Charleston, Scriven said.

Suspect Dylann Roof surrendered quiety after about 25 minutes of questioning by police.
A cop originally approached Roof, who was dressed in all black, because several store employees complained that he was asking bizarre questions, such as, “What time do you close?” and “How many associates are working?”

1) The timing.. This weekend is Juneteenth, the biggest African American celebration of emancipation. This will be the sermon and theme for thousands of gatherings across America this weekend.. Side note, the controversial TPP trade deal that was struck down twice, passed today with little or no coverage after a week of non-stop coverage.

2) Obama gives speech on gun control and 'problems of burning African American churches in our dark past' within 15 hours of the shooting. Saying that this type of stuff doesnt happen anywhere in the world. A lie..

3) According to this report, this maniac was bragging he was going to kill a bunch of people on Wednesday and the people he told knew he had a gun for his birthday. But no one says a word???

4) Look at how he was arrested. Would you be just hanging around asking suspicious questions and just wait for the police to show up. Then talk for 25 minutes and surrender like you just got caught stealing a piece of candy? Side note: in the video of him going into the church, he was wearing a white shirt and jeans, yet this report strikingly points out he was wearing all black when arrested. Freaky..

5) The location. This is the most historic African American church in America. Read the history. It's struggle through slavery. It being burned down and then rebuilt. A National Historic Site and State Historic Site.

6) The propaganda value. A white male with a .45 guns down unarmed Christian African Americans while praying in Church.

7) A State Senator, with no gun for self defense or protection detail, was among the victims.

Bottom line, this maniac doesn't seem to be the kind of person to know these type of facts nor be what we would consider to be an informed, 'up to date on the news' kind of guy. So then all of this is coincidence.

Very strange indeed..and very sad. My prayers go out to all victims and their families.
