It's from Ukraine intel agency. Has yet to be confirmed by anyone else or government. So will have to wait and see. I give it a 50/50 of this being true.

I think that you have read it sligthly wrong as its not referencing a specific attempt nor, necessarily, a very recent one.It's from Ukraine intel agency. Has yet to be confirmed by anyone else or government. So will have to wait and see. I give it a 50/50 of this being true.

According to the Ukrainian military intelligence service, there have already been several attempted assassinations against Russian President Vladimir Putin. "But as you can see, they were unsuccessful," intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov told an interviewer from the Ukrainian portal "New Voice". The general gave no indication of what his claim was based on. He also did not mention that his service or other Kiev secret services could be involved in such plans.
However, Budanov is known for provocations, which are part of his psychological warfare.
