Bangladesh Air Force has signed a Letter of Intent with Italy’s Leonardo to acquire Eurofighter Typhoon multi role combat aircraft, positioning Dhaka to field one of Europe’s front-line fighters and signaling a shift in its procurement mix away from a primarily Chinese supplied inventory. The LOI, signed at BAF headquarters, frames Typhoon as the future “modern multi role combat aircraft” for frontline squadrons, with local commentary noting that rival J-10C offers from China appear to have been sidelined, at least for now.
