Monkey pox and monkey B are different.
monkey pox is not usually lethal.
Monkey B virus is in same family of viruses as smallpox.

The monkey pox arrived in US from someone who recently returned from Nigeria.

And here we go again the Monkey virus B in China appears to have occurred with a biomedical worker who was dissecting a monkey in a lab. The worker died within a month of contracting the virus.

So is this monkeypox in China the same that was in China? Do we have another gift from them?
No it’s not small pox and I’m doing some more reading the MSN article might not be correct on genus of Monkey B virus.
As far as I can tell first case was in 1933 and to date only transmitted through bites or laboratory worker handling accidents.

Monkeypox is the bigger threat because it's spread by airborne droplets just like Covid-19, so it could be the next or an additional pandemic.

200 that have contacts to how many others? It's like a never ending chain reaction.

Monkey pox has low respiratory transmission rate, both varieties.
