  • A Pet Dog is in Quarantine After Testing “Weak Positive” for Coronavirus
    • Hong Kong authorities have placed a pet dog into quarantine after it tested a “weak positive” for the novel coronavirus, officials said on Friday.
    • A dog was handed over to the Hong Kong Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) after its owner was infected with the coronavirus, the department said in a statement.
    • Preliminary tests from the dog’s oral, nasal and rectal samples tested a “weak positive” but the “dog does not have any relevant symptoms," the AFCD said.
      • At present, the AFCD does not have evidence that pet animals can be infected with COVID-19 virus or can be a source of infection to people,” the statement stresses. “The department will conduct close monitoring of the above dog and collect further samples for testing to confirm if the dog has really been infected with the virus or this is a result of environmental contamination of the dog's mouth and nose.”

If animal transmission is true such as this case, we have even a greater situation involving a wider scope of infections.

The fact that people are not already in complete pandemonium frankly amazes me.
Cognitive dissonance is popular reason to explain it
But we’re America nothing ever gets messy here.
I remember how everyone reacted with Katrina, people were “appalled” that so much could go wrong and pictures of even poor Americans being stranded on overpasses or stadiums and no one would be there to rescue them in the next frame left many speechless.

Realistically, when it it time for the ordinary US citizen to panic?
I think it shows unfortunately how much of the world's population are in denial how quick there lives are about to be turned upside down. Funny thing nuclear war would look much more humane end for most. Even then most still wouldn't have clue or think it will never happen.

Thank you, figure showing the headlines and a little info keeps people up to date. Also to save people time to not read three dozen articles a day.

I’m not convinced this will be akin to nuclear exchange or even emp.
Lots of sick and many deaths very possible.
Severe disruption to economies absolutely, the unknown is how bad a hit to economies around the world.
It is definitely going to winnow our the financially weak.

Right now I’m doing that anyway.
It’s a news junkies market right now.
Panic will now be the story to follow
Nothing to do buy work the problem and remain steady.

Germany currently at 35 confirmed Cases (without first Cases who are healed). Up to 2,500 under quarantine. 1 Case critical. More cases high likely. In general i can see around the streets that the fear is growing. Its hard to get some general stuff like canned food, noodles and some other things. On medicinal sight there is currently enough stock but masks and disinfectants are highly out of stock.
