Los Angeles, the nation’s second-largest school district, will require coronavirus vaccine for students 12 and up:

Awesome, if they all get vaccinated it would be a great contribution for the greater good.

I was reading this morning that BC government was concerned about aggravating medical staffing shortage by implementing a mandate or something to that effect because they predict a walkout of at least 10% of care providers.
I imagine since the forever pandemic is so grave they can't afford to lose 10% of a value workforce.
The fact is they need those people whether they like it or not.
Mandate more vaccines and go even more hardline and watch the system collapse because people will walk out and not return.

Now that would be a real treat to see it backfire in a big way. We the people, take the power back and make them pay.

I had to smile if your realy believe this.
10% unprotected workforce is a huge danger in a hospital.
You can't have even one unprotected hospital employee infecting everyone else, all hygiene measures would be violated.
With this way of thinking we would still live in the medival times in which you had to live through one plague after another.
You don't take your power back just like that, you only leave the power to the pandemics.
they can't afford to lose 10% of a value workforce.
Make it clear, they can and they will sacrifice these cocky selfish idiots for the other 90% if they must, that's for sure.

if one person not vaccinated is a danger then the vaccines are ineffectual.
You can't blame the vaccine, none of them protects better than 95% most below 90%.
So 10% still can get infected, but the vaccinated almost never develope a serious illness.
Still the virus has the chance to spread to more unvaccinated and to mutate.
The Coronavirus will stay and survive in the unvaccinated and mutate in them until it can
break through the vaccination and infect the vaccinated again.
Nobody should give Coronavirus this opportunity.
We must vaccinate everybody to wipe this virus out before it becomes unstoppable.

Those efficacy figures are valid only for the first 90 days of your vaccination, after which efficacy begins to drop to about 50% (average) at the six month mark. This is why booster shots are coming into play. Whether you develop antibodies from getting infected or getting vaccinated, your natural immunity is short-lived. We knew this a year ago.

By the way, the virus will mutate regardless of whether or not the infected person is vaccinated. The vaccine helps prevent infection, but it does not prohibit mutation if infected.

Finally, I'm of the opinion that we have already passed the point of no return with this virus. It is now past pandemic stage and is endemic to just about every country on earth. Mutations will continue to occur and achieve vaccine breakthrough and escape, and gawd forbid this thing jumps to an animal, recombines with some other viral horror like Ebola, and then jumps back to humans, because then we are all totally screwed.

No but the less people are getting infected the less mutations can occur and the Coronavirus can stay in people with a weak immune system for a very long time.
During this long period, the virus tries several times by trial and error to jump to the vaccinated, until it finally mutates and can evade the antibodies of the vaccine.

Ebola is a close call, it's a vascular disease from bats just like the coronavirus.
They should be compatible and could combine in a host in Africa were Ebola or the Marburg virus is endemic.o_O
But this could also happen in India with the Nipah Virus (also from bats), it's just a matter of time.
In the meantime there are so many Bird-Flu virusses around us
and all of them are very lethal for people but they can hardly spread to humans until they mutate alittle bit more...
that's what I think is more likely and already happening.

Exactly that’s my point it’s endemic to the population and it’s going to do what it’s going to do.
it just is.
if you want to be mad about it ask the experts why they were doing gain of function research on this crap.
that’s why we have it the “experts” screwed up again.
now we’re letting those same experts and government's tell us what we have to do to save ourselves.
No! Get off my lawn!

Yeah its called endemic just like another virus that humans have been living with for centuries and at this point it is endemic and it's just a fact of life.

If they could afford to lose 10% then why are they still saying there are staff issues? You can't have the cake and eat it too.

Republican threats to Biden's vaccine mandates unlikely to succeed, experts say:

"Biden’s mandates pass muster because he is filtering them through the lenses of workplace safety and federal spending powers authority, legal experts told NBC News."

"Legal experts, however, told NBC News those suits are most likely to fail, due to wide-ranging powers that the Constitution and decades of administrative law precedent have established."

and yet there’s this conveniently ignored again.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

it’s a really simple thing

Japan reports first ‘Mu strain’ COVID-19 variant cases

The World Health Organization (WHO) classified Mu variant, or B.1.621 as a “variant of interest,” (VOI) on August 30.
The Mu variant has a constellation of mutations that indicate potential properties of immune escape.
How transmissible it is or whether it can evade vaccine protections is still not known.

As the Delta variant of COVID-19 continues its deadly sweep across the U.S., officials say that they are keeping a "very close eye" on a new variant that may be able to bypass existing coronavirus antibodies.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Thursday that the U.S. is taking the variant, dubbed Mu, "very seriously," but that it hasn't taken an extensive hold in this country.

"We're keeping a very close eye on it. It is really seen here, but it is not at all even close to being dominant," Fauci said. "As you know, the Delta is more than 99% dominant." According to the CDC, Mu accounts for only about 0.1% of cases in the U.S.

Fauci said the Mu variant, technically known as B.1.621, has mutations suggesting "it would evade certain antibodies," potentially including those from vaccines.

"But there isn't a lot of clinical data to suggest that. It is mostly laboratory in vitro data," he added. "...We don't consider it an immediate threat right now."

Colombian health official Marcela Mercado told a local radio station on Thursday
that Mu was responsible for the country's third wave of coronavirus infections from April to June. She said there were nearly 700 deaths per day during this time

, and nearly two-thirds of tests from people who died came back positive for the Mu variant, according to AFP.

Mongolia reports first COVID-19 cases in animals

"Workers of the Beaver Breeding Center at the Environmental Department of the capital Ulan Bator tested positive for the COVID-19 in August. After that, the COVID-19 Delta variant were detected in seven beavers,"

A group of 200-plus CEOs from companies like Amazon, Walmart, and Home Depot says it 'welcomes' Biden's vax-or-test mandate

Biden mandates for vaccine is just a scapegoat for businesses of backlash from their own mandate. Many CEOs & owners say exactly that.

Basically businesses are pushing the backfire on the government which this OSHA law is designed to do.
Employee: Stop or don't do the mandate.
Business owner: Oh sorry OSHA is making me. ;)

See. The majority of corporations & businesses overwhelming support this. It gives them cover to go ahead and do mandates that they support already.

Does anyone know what happens when a business knowingly defies OSHA laws?,.. I.E remove corporation stock on the market is one of many good examples, which will make the minority of larger business opposed do the mandates anyway.

(NOT talking about ma&pa stores or small local store fronts. Applies only to business with over 100 employees.)

The family of an Alabama man who died of heart issues more than 200 miles from his home is asking people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus after more than 40 hospitals across three states were unable to accept him.
