Might as well remove DEFCON 2 from the programming for this website to save space given that anything that warrants 2 now automatically calls for 1.
Hmm. I don't think it looks as good...

Thanks for the suggestion but I think we'll pass.

Don't have to be so serious about it. Just floating some fun idea all members can get involved with and have fun.

It's what makes lengthy games or dedication to a game fun or worth while for people.

This site is dedicated to tracking the imminence of global destruction. Billions of people will die soon. It is so serious, it's not a game.

No. And stop fearmongering. We may be at DEFCON 3 but we have repeatedly said we are nowhere near nuclear global annihilation.

We are simply on the precipice where things could either go bad or things will cool down soon enough. We are at that fork in the road and even if we go down the wrong fork in the road will be quite sometime before anything comes of it.

Because we are at that aforementioned fork in the road we have encourage people to prepare incase things go bad DOWN THE LINE & NOT IN THE IMMEDIATE SENCE.

You and the site are entitled to your opinion. To others of us, it is clear as day we are in the opening stages of World War 3, that is, the proverbial Apocalypse.

A prize of any kind is just a prize and nothing philosophical about it. It's what makes lengthy games or dedication to a effort fun or worth while for people. A prize. 💁‍♂️

You can't even handle some simple disagreement, you moved my reply to this post to another topic? smh

Yes we where discussing the DEFCON level. Has no place here in this thread "Member of The Year" Contest.

Any further commentary of the DEFCON level or threat of nuclear war will be moved to the DEFCON 3 public discussion thread.

That was the second post, you moved two of mine, not just one.

As we say, "The public should make their own evaluations and not rely on the DEFCON Warning System for any strategic planning."

If you believe we are in the opening stages of WWIII, you should be making serious preparations for it.

What needs to be differentiated here is that a nuclear exchange is not global destruction. That is a inculcated assumption popular culture has force fed us for 30 years.
Make no mistake it would be a devastating blow to a nation or a region. I am not making lite of that I’m anyway.
While a limited tactical exchange would vastly increase the risk of a major exchange it still does not mandate an escalation to a full strategic exchange between nations.

What should always be remembered is that the people who would make this decision are keenly aware of the dangers of an escalation and the Devastating results it would have.

It’s been 70 years with nuclear weapons and we’ve kept them in the silos this long.
One can’t live at apocalyptic levels of tension. Prepare for any disaster from a job loss to Armageddon, not that one can physically prepare for Armageddon.

Yes, it is serious. No, it's not a game. And the consequences of a global nuclear exchange are beyond moist people's comprehension.

However, as a first responder and an instructor in incident response, I can tell you with 100% accuracy that making jokes on the subject in no way nullifies how seriously we take it. It is, in fact, essential to maintaining our sanity.

Plus, as DarkNoon pointed out, we're not there yet.

Lighten up, Francis.
