There are currently no imminent nuclear threats against the United States at this time.
In spite of Russian threats, the United States has activated the first phase of a US-led missile shield for Europe. In response, Russia has threatened to launch a pre-emptive strike against missile defense facilities in Eastern Europe. Additionally, and disturbingly though not unexpected, Russia has also begun to improve camouflage for mobile ballistic launchers, making it harder to discover and track them. It is suspected that Russia has been hiding numerous nuclear missiles on these mobile, but less accurate, launchers to hide them from treaty limitations.
Iran is installing more than 2000 additional centrifuges at the Fordo facility, one-third of their goal of 9000 total while U.N. inspectors have reported traces of enriched uranium at 27%, much higher than the 20% threshold that Iran claims to produce. U.S. expert Albright has stated that such traces can be explained by simple production error. However, there has been more evidence of area sterilization to prevent inspectors from learning what activities took place at certain suspect facilities.
India has developed a missile defense shield which will intercept missiles with a range of up to 2000 kilometres. Further development will allow the system to intercept missiles with a range of 5000 kilometers by 2016. Pakistan has acknowledged sea-based nuclear weapons in its arsenal.
France has lurched to the left with the election of François Hollande to the Presidency. It is still to be seen how this will affect French defense. Also in the last couple weeks, North Korea has resumed work at its light water nuclear reactor, while a U.S. Senate report claims that there are more than one million counterfeit electronic parts are in use in its military aircraft, and China has denied inspectors permission to investigate.

It is not affiliated with any government agency and does not represent the alert status of any military branch.
