There are currently no imminent nuclear threats against the United States at this time.
The United States, regarding their border policy, is closing down nine southern border patrol stations, oddly calling the move "consistent with the strategic goal of securing America's border." The U.S. continues to find tunnels under their border, and has stopped deportation, capture, or even notification of illegal aliens in some parts of the country.
Iran has begun stockpiling food, likely in anticipation of war disrupting supplies as its supreme leader has called a war counsel, declaring that war is imminent, though Iran has been making such pronouncements for quite some time. However, Iran continues to move forward on nuclear issues, further increasing enrichment capacity and fortifying structures against attack. The U.S. admits that Iran is improving its ballistic missile programme and is preparing for enhanced collaboration with Israel on missile defence and intelligence.
Syria continues to be an area of unrest that, while seemingly outside the realm of nuclear threat, can still bring nuclear agents into conflict. Syria has confirmed that it does have chemical weapons in its arsenal and has begun to move them, though it is unknown whether it is to deploy the stockpile or to protect them from falling into rebel hands. Russia is deploying 11 warships to the eastern Mediterranean and Syria. Russia is also to set up a ship maintenance base in Vietnam and is in talks with other countries to establish more foreign naval bases.
The United Arab Emirates has approved construction of its first nuclear power plant while South Korea has deployed military assets near the West Sea. North Korea has responded in kind.
The DEFCON Warning System advises and urges citizens not to become complacent with regards to safety and defence as the world continues to teeter on a very dangerous edge, and situations can change very quickly. As such, we note that Britain is to cut seventeen units from its army forces. The United States faces severe cuts to its military due to its economy and political polarization.
