This is the DEFCON Warning System. Alert status for 9 P.M. UTC, Monday, August 1st, 2022. Condition code is Green. DEFCON 5.

There are currently no imminent nuclear threats at this time.

Russia is building an anti-satellite system to blind satellites over Russian territory. Meanwhile, Russia has begun recruiting prisoners as war in Ukraine takes toll on forces. Additionally, Russia warns of "tougher action" if the West continues to supply weapons to Ukraine.

United States says it would use force to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Iran claims it now has the ability to build a nuclear bomb, although Iran continues to say say that its fatwa against building nuclear weapons is still unchanged.

The United States has successfully tested a hypersonic missile. Noteworthy, the U.S. Strategic Command has moved from disarmament to deterrence over North Korea's nuclear weapons.

Chinese military upgrades near disputed Himalayan border are viewed as provocative in India. The United States has provoked China with possible high-ranking visit to Taiwan.

Korea and the United States are to expand joint exercises in the second half of 2022.

It is not affiliated with any government agency and does not represent the alert status of any military branch.
