There are currently no imminent nuclear threats at this time.

Iran has activated hundreds of new and advanced IR6 and IR1 centrifuges to enrich uranium, according to the IAEA, hours after the United States announced new sanctions against Iran's petroleum trade. Additionally, Iran has started enriching uranium with one of three cascades recently installed at its underground enrichment plant at Natanz.

Russia, for the first time, has accused the United States of being directly involved in the Ukraine war. Fighting continues around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Ukraine, raising fears of damage to the structure and a radiation leak or a meltdown. We will continue to monitor the situation in the area. At this time, however, there is no unusual radiation readings in the area.

Russia says it has no grounds to refuse to assist China if asked in the event of a war over Taiwan, however estimates of Russian fighting forces indicate that the country will have trouble continuing to prosecute the war Ukraine. Any additional wars would severely strain the Russian military.

China has reduced military contacts with the United States over high-level visit to Taiwan by the U.S.

Russia has said it will block inspections of nuclear weapons sites allowed under a 2011 bilateral treaty.

The DEFCON Warning System is a private intelligence organization which has monitored and assessed nuclear threats by national entities since 1984.
