Played EVE for 4 years, it is an amazing game!
I was mostly doing anomalies/wormholes and building industrial capital ships (orcas, freighters, etc), and i must say, even after 4 years it feels like i just explored 20% of what the game has to offer. I am thinking to renew my subscription once i am less busy :D

I myself will never play a game that i have to pay for everymonth. Ive got elder scrolls and i love it, but im not getting elder scrolls online.

You only need to pay for the initial month, the game allows players to pay with in-game currency also. I remember making in a week enough to pay the subscription for 3-4 months. It`s not that hard, but in the start the amount of information and skills can be overwhelming :D
I liked Elder Scrolls too, sadly i think they kind of failed with the online version.

You must teach me your ways.
Hihih, it is quite easy to be honest. People make a lot of money by buying or manufacturing things that sell a lot (ammo, ships, modules, etc.) and then selling those items in the more populated systems. Having a freighter can help a lot if you are in highsec, even low or nullsec works with a scout (to check for gatecamps). I haven`t played in more than a year, things might have changed a bit. I made A LOT of isk by mining in wormholes (gas mostly), doing exploration can end up yielding some nice rare items also. Let`s not forget the COSMOS missions if you are more pve oriented which can reward unique implants (if i remember right one of the best mining implants comes from doing those missions, back in the day was worth the same value as a PLEX). If you live in the more dangerous areas of EVE you can do some "ratting" (hunting pirate npc`s that used to spawn in asteroid belts) and hope for a rare spawn (those used to drop the officer items, very rare). You can get a lot of isk by having 2 accounts, for example i was running one account that was doing sleeper sites in wormholes (had a T3 cruiser) and the other account was cloaked close to the wormhole entry to look out for bad guys (i used the same ship to salvage the sleeper sites i was clearing with my primary account also). It is a lot of multitasking, but it was well worth the time and effort. Sleeper salvage used to be expensive back in the day. For a while i had a player owned station up, and had manufacturing and invention jobs running. Was mining most of the ice myself and making fuel the same way for the station. I think a lot of things have changed, i have not kept up with the updates, but i can warmly recommend the game to anyone, the only thing i miss in it is being able to get out of the ship and interacting with others (in character), which is possible, but only to a very limited extent (captains quarters - not sure if they added anything to that). Sometimes i would jsut relax in there and watch a movie on the big screen in the room (you can add files to the EVE client and even listen to music or watch videos while in there). EVE is amazing.Solo or in groups, small and big, there is always something you can do. You can explore, fight, mine, manufacture, research, scan for rare sites or wormholes, heck, you can even be a spy for major alliances (the political scene in the game is very well known even outside of EVE).
Sorry for the wall of text and for any typos :)
Damn, now i feel like playing EVE... i blame it on you Ryan :D

Ok, but i need to do a bit of research on the industry changes since i have stopped playing :D
Will check on the patches (i think they introduced a lot of new stuff like manufacturing teams and such) and i will be back with a wall of text for you :D
I think i will reactivate this Christmas, maybe i can help you in game also, but my main is stuck somewhere in Amarr space if i recall correctly. Been flying a paladin (amarr marauder / t2 battleship) for lvl 4 missions, if you want to do missions, aim for one of those, you can salvage and kill at the same time, you have less gun high slots, but get 200% damage if i remember right, been chewing through enemies really fast. It`s just a matter of isk, those cost a lot, over 1 bil when i was playing, just for the ship.
Will be back with a bit more info for you very soon :D
