Well the American, Indian and allied forces have just left and today the Singaporeans started exercise wallaby that will go until October 20. Overnight an Antelov with several helicopters on board landed at the local airport along with several wide bodied aircraft. Expecting more tanks and transports to roll through town again. Will have the jet fighters arriving any day soon.

Good

Not good as I often get the wash from the engines as they bank, accelerate and climb. Not to mention the noise from the engines ramping up. They take off in twos and fours. Gets noisy when they do, Then there is the Chinooks as they fly over. Last year they were doing troop disembarkation just a couple of hundred meters from where I live. The Chinooks coming in low over the house made me think of Nui Dat.

So it’s not a good thing that allied nations work together exercising the interpolation of their units.??

I somewhat appreciate the noise pollution it causes you. I’m not depreciating that. But it is necessary training so if god forbid the allied nations militaries have to used in a integrated. Maybe they could do it in another location.

No it is good they are training and I fully support that. I just start to get annoyed when it is one exercise after another. There has been more this year than any year I can remember in recent years but it does make plane spotting more interesting. Got woken in the early hours of the morning with the antelov making it's approach just a few hundred feet above the house.

Australia is a wide open country sounds like they could move some of the exercises to less populated areas. Maybe just cause the sheep to crap themselves

The last few exercises have been across the whole north from east to west. I must admit it is starting to feel like living in some sort of disembarkation camp.
Well it is an unknown and I can understand your curiosity and fatigue with it.
I suppose you have two ways to look at it.
Their running extensive drills, even while a lot of resources are going to Ukraine.
Theoretically their doing this to send a real message to China. Not that China is going to invade Australia.
But given earlier sea drills this year its a pretty unambiguous message to China and Asian Allie’s.
