An organized attempt to assassinate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas took place on Tuesday after the leader was handed a 24-hour ultimatum by the "Sons of Abu Jandal".

The group, who were created within the West Bank's Palestinian security system to take action against Israel, claimed credit for the incident on Abbas' convoy.

One of Abbas' bodyguards was reportedly shot dead during the attack.

Think about who you are dealing with here. You have Radicals killing moderates because they are not cool with sticking babies in ovens…. Also if the Bank Stays out of this They stand to get Gaza back ( why anyone would want it is another topic) I say we have a drawing with West Bank Egypt and Turkey. We put their names in the hat and the loser gets Gaza.

Why would the president of Palestine security involved in a drug deal……?

edit: badly worded, what I mean is why would his security detail be pulled off to pursue or get involved with stopping a criminal?

Rhetorical question here, but how in the heck did Daily Express connect dots between a member of the PA presidential security details pursuing a criminal to an assassination attempt on Abbas?
