Federal Responce to Aid Crippled Supply Chain

Mayor Pete can’t respond he’s been on paid leave since mid august to stay home and care for his two new children.

And just so we have no question about Breitbart being a non reputable source I provide their link to Politico who first reported on this.

This is some really stupid incompetence. I think I’ll adopt and take a two month paid leave.

Need more evidence that Washington is the enemy of the American citizen.

How about “let them eat cake”

As I suspected two unnecessary things are happening with the supply chain.
Cali has two new laws that bottle neck freight flow out of California.
AB-5 has limited the number of owner operators drivers in the state so fewer truckers can operate in the state.
California also has a new state law that bans older trucks from operating in the state because of climate laws.
So Cali legal trucks are ferrying trailers to the state line so that OTR truckers, that can operate in the rest of the entire country, can pick them up for distribution. That’s called an unforced error bottle neck.

At a certain point, the supply chain problems will reach critical mass and the whole chain will collapse. This is going to be a very rough winter for anyone who has not properly prepared for that possibility.

Similar option might be imposed on NYC port.
All they had to do is stop following the moronic Covid rules but at the same time, would you work twice as hard for the same pay with a stupid mask on??

First they have to get qualified people to do the jobs. The longshoreman make a good salary and belong to a union so you know those guys are not working longer hours without major compensation.

The port in LA has been running 24-7 so don't expect Butters plan to help much at this point.

They had better get the National guard truck drivers and Navys cargo load specialist out there to help as they don't have to be trained.

It will double the time the ports operate. Long Beach port is now working 24/7 along with L.A:
Sounds like Biden is federalizing the supply chain mechanisms I.E trucking, shipping, and cargo all going to be regulated even more by the feds?

He didn't do anything about this mess till now. He sounds like a drunk after an all nighter. The ports have been running non stop for a month or longer but don't have the ability to catch up now because they don't have enough docks, cranes, trucks and manpower at this point.

This was done intentionally, don't expect anything to change until the military is out there getting it done.

They have an extra cruise ship dock at the port of Long Beach that they are not even using, which they have before at times so one has to Wonder why.

Stock up and prepare because things are only going to get worse.

No the US is the only nation that doesn't run its ports 24/7. They don't operate weekends. At night they close. Union rules. That is until now.
Months ago they decided they had no other choice! They were being seen by locals running at night long before Bidens official order. People on YouTube who live by the California ports reporting on the situation and oil spill.

A couple of links that explain the supply chain situation on the west coast better than anything else I have seen:

First a Twitter post with an in-depth explanation of what's going on at LA and Long Beach:

Then a short video from the Wall Street Journal that backs up the Twitter thread and adds a visual perspective to the written story:
