General Debate on Religion

Whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
When I see that the Italian mafia is religious. I know several believers and I find that I am a better person than them in general. They will have eternal life, not me!

When an American President declares: God save America!
Why would God only protect America?

Personally don't think our maker cares about us if "it" even exists.

My main and only point on this generally is a real life example... IF you say to your own child "Do what you want, anything you want, I won't stop you" kinda shows you don't care about your kid if you let them do whatever they want.

Our "maker" gave us freewill basically saying do whatever as I gave example above shows you don't care or lazy, bad, neglectful parenting... so he must not care.

โ€œAs you see, the end is near. We know we're in the last of the last days. But now is not the time to complain. Now is not the time to worry about it. Now is the time to know that you have been called to be part of this last days. You have a role to play in the second coming of Jesus. It's really cool, right? ยป

โ€” Lauren Boebert, Republican Representative from Colorado, borrowing doomsday rhetoric last Friday at an event in College Park, Colorado, hosted by a far-right evangelical pastor on a mission to tear down the wall by the founders of the United States between Church and State.

Sometimes I believe that, sometimes not!

If God exists, I don't believe he loves humans,
God hates humans!
Well I know literally nothing about religion but if memory serves correctly Jesus was betrayed by Judas, and Jesus was alright with him. He forgave him I think (please correct me if I'm wrong)

And I'm pretty sure that Jesus was basically god in the bible (Christians please jump in here if I'm wrong)
Note: Not joking my knowledge is pretty bad I kind of slept through religious studies
John 1:1 (King James)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (Amplified)
And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).

No, he didn't. In fact, Jesus said it would have been better if he had never been born.
(Luke 23:24), โ€œForgive them, for they know not what they do.โ€

Just for discussion sake, I believe that Jesus is asking The Father to forgive them/those who are involved in the crucifixion. At Judas's betrayal Of Jesus he becomes one of 'them" . So by this verse could he be considered forgiven?

I think Jesus is talking about the crowd and those who are crucifying him. There is nothing in the text which would seem to indicate he is including Judas in that.

So by this verse could he be considered forgiven?
It could be argued that Jesus is asking the Father to forgive them, not that Jesus is offering forgiveness or that forgiveness has been imparted to them by the Father.

Sure, I know there are many in this forum that don't believe, but I want to remind everyone that what is going on currently was told by Christ exactly what would take place.
Mt 24:6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
NTB TTT
Mt 24:7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
NTB TTT
Mt 24:8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

If what is going on currently isn't a good sign of things to come, honestly, I don't know what is. Nuff said. Personally, I haven't seen this many different conflicts at the same time for as long as I can remember---and that's a pretty long time.

All true, but we must keep in mind the entirety verse 6:
"... see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

We do not antiquate anylisis based off any religion.
Can you please explain to me what the hell "antiquate anylisis' means in English please?
Do not involve or relate military anylisis about the world theater with any religious texts or predictions in the POLL in General military discussions sub forum. That's what this thread & subsection is for.

Sir, I don't appreciate you moving my post when I was seeking clarification on what kind of speech was allowed in my reply to the poll.

Your aloud to say whatever you want here. But this conversation doesn't fit within the poll so was moved here. Sorry you do not agree.

Though I will change my wording for people to better understand in post.(<--Link) Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Hope the edit of post quells any confusion.
