We're launching a new badge, it's called the "Golden Star Award". It's an exclusive award which only a select few will earn.
It will be awarded for rendering invaluable services or assistance to the DEFCON Warning System. It's distinctly different from Major Contributor.
One must go above and beyond to help out DWS to be eligible. Staff will select people if and when they meet the criteria.

Anyone who has won this award is among the most respected and valuable members of the DWS community, and they deserve our thanks. This award is our way of acknowledging those who really do an amazing service by helping us out.
