Google's Woke AI.

I don’t even know what is ESG. Is it like MSG and give a lot of people gas?
MSG is what makes Chinese food taste good. If I see a Chinese or any Asian dish that is labeled no MSG is going to take like crap. Never by "no msg" unless you want to torcher your taste buds.

Edit: off topic but had to rant how there is or was a war on MSG. Utter ridiculousness.

ESG means Environmental, Social and Governance. The Social bit is the Woke part.
Assuming that by "woke" you mean the activities usually labeled as D&I (diversity and inclusion), this is just part of the "social" aspect of ESG, and to say that "Google AI is pro ESG" makes about as much sense as saying "my car is pro car wash" (i.e. it basically doesn't make sense at all, and suggests one doesn't really understand what a car wash is).

Long story short, ESG describes a set of policies which companies observe if they want to be (or appear to be) aligned with best practices in the scope of environmental protection, social impact and responsible management. Regarding the "social" part of the puzzle - yes, this includes D&I, but also things like stakeholder involvement, well-being of employees, charity and sponsorships, and several other things that make the company a "good citizen", so to speak. Its use in this context is... curious.

ESG is a way for organizations to virtue-signal that they are aligned with a left-wing Marxist viewpoint of the world. This includes things like environmental terrorism, socialist/Marxist economic theories, reparations, and other support for various left-wing causes. Those who say it's a way of signaling they are a "good citizen" are obviously left-wing themselves, because "good citizen" is of course subjective, and in this case would be dependent on embracing the radical left.
