Will be cutting back time today dedicated to monitoring and reporting on Middle East regional war.

I have to prepare for the hurricane coming right for me. Today I have to tie up my ship, bring in all outside decorations/plants, and buy some supplies before their all sold out..... everything is shutting down tomorrow.

So will try to get that all out of the way as quickly as possible so I can go back to dedicating my time to monitoring and reporting on the unfolding all out regional war.

Also when the hurricane gets close enough I'll be reporting on that too. I know we have a lot of viewers here from the Tampa Bay Area & will try to keep us all up to date on the hurricane emergency.

Also if the hurricane gets bad enough I may become unavailable for indefinite amount of time and therefore no reporting from me until the hurricane emergency is over & damages assest.

I apologize to everyone who has been following my reporting on the middle east crisis. But mother nature is being a typical bitch and I have to take care of business.

Please stay safe!

I have decided to evacuate. Beat the rush. Once I have done prep work on the house and moving important belongings to my storage unit inland will be moving to a hotel inland until the hurricane emergency is over.

I will not be available for sometime. @DEFCON Warning System @RiffRaff @Irag8er

Currently forecast to hit the panhandle area as a major hurricane, but gulf coast will definitely feel the effects.

I am in northern GA (close to Chattanooga). They are already issuing flood watches in my area for Wednesday through Friday. I've seen no forecasts on wind speed/effects yet.

@DarkNoon - I am glad to see that you are evacuating. Stay safe!

So the OSHA course I was taking with University of South Florida this week has been canceled due to the incoming hurricane. Ironically, my class was on training disaster area workers. Thinking about leaving tomorrow and driving down to work the storm. I'll post my decision later in this forum.

The latest NHC advisory shows Helene reaching peak strength as a "major" hurricane. This is a Category 3 or higher, with sustained winds above 110 miles per hour. Storm surge is forecast to reach between 10 to 15 feet in certain areas, particularly between Chassahowitzka and the Ochlockonee River. Tampa Bay is expected to get 5 to 8 feet of storm surge.

Still going to be bad on the barriers where I am. Even a tropical storm fucks us up on the islands. This will be a CAT 3 or above so even being clipped going to mess things up bad for us on the islands and hope everyone else on the barrier islands all up and down the gulf coast of Florida are doing the same as. BECAUSE it can always take a sudden unexpected turn.

But man has its been a long day...

⚠️ Helene rapidly organizing, remains on track to become major hurricane on approach to Florida

Tampa Bay could see 5-8 feet of storm surge inundation under current forecasts.

Initial deployment area is going to be Tallahassee, Florida. I'm a few hours away from there. Should give me plenty of time to get situated and get some rest before things start picking up. I'll try to keep you updated as much I can.

MMandatoryevacuations have been ordered

This is an important message from Alert Pinellas and Pinellas County Government.

A Mandatory Evacuation has been ordered for everyone in Evacuation Zone A and ALL mobile homes throughout Pinellas County, effective starting today (09/25) at 9:00 AM.

Those evacuating should have their evacuation completed and be in a safe place by Thursday morning (09/26) at 8:00 AM before weather conditions become too dangerous.

Tropical Storm Helene is forecast to rapidly intensify into a Major Hurricane as it approaches Florida over the next 24 hours.

A Storm Surge Warning, Hurricane Watch, and a Tropical Storm Warning are in effect for Pinellas County. Potentially life-threatening storm surge flooding is likely in Pinellas County starting early Thursday (09/26) and lasting through Friday (09/27). The current storm surge forecast calls for higher surge with a longer duration than Tampa Bay experienced during Hurricane Idalia last year.

Residents are urged to finalize emergency plans, confirm their evacuation zone, shelter locations, and find other evacuation resources by visiting disaster.pinellas.gov.

For storm preparedness questions, call the County Information Center at 727-464-4333. For the latest weather forecast, see hurricanes.gov and weather.gov/tampa.

See. I knew it. I beat the rush. Zone A is everyone on the barrier islands. Me. So glad I took care of most my shit yesterday. Just doing finishing touches on my house otherwise I'm 99% done. Just going around double triple checking everything making sure everything secure.

Don't want to leave my house, finding every excuse to not to leave yet, like dick around on the forums. πŸ˜‚ I'm afraid she may not be here when I get back. Also very nervous for my ship. May smoke a cigar on her one more time before I go...
