Increased NATO traffic

Today I've been hearing a station on all the NATO frequencies callsign: HANDRAIL he says he is monitoring the frequency for any traffic, then repeats it 3 times.

I've also heard callsign: TRANSLATE saying he is standing by for traffic on the frequencies too.

I listen to and record the NATO frequencies everyday from early in the morning until late late at night and this is the first time I have heard these guys.

Just an observation.
 
Sorry, should have been HF, I have noticed them on 11175 the most frequency. they refer to 11175 as HF1

Lockheed aircraft 8773 has been testing their radios for hours too.

Probably nothing, the amount of drills there are going about is probably causing this.
 
Hey, sorry for bumping late, I'm new here.

I tuned directly into an EAM (Don't know if Skyking or not)

it was an 35 - character code (about) on 8992.

Anyone know what it could mean?

EDIT: Because I just found out it's illegal to direct copy military transmissions, edited out the actual message (better safe than sorry! :( )

Listening to 11175 right now, looks as though there is a lot of interference and the Websdr might be having problems.

I hear the occasional "pop" kind of noise, I suppose similar to a drop of water into a sink? I hear a lot of constant chatter which I don't think is military, as I would have thought they would talk using phonetic alphabet. The Websdr also makes it sound like someone is having a tantrum in a room throwing things around.

I've seen this posted a lot. How do we know it's authentic?
