India & the UAE signed a Letter of Intent to work towards concluding a framework agreement for a Strategic Defence Partnership. Another letter of intent was also signed between the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) and the UAE Space Agency for a joint initiative on space infrastructure development and its commercialisation.

I admit I am a little lost on the significance of this. Something tells me it is more important than I am seeing.

India hasn't agreed to protect UEA, have they? This is just a letter of intent for some future agreement.
