Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel will remain in its security zones in Gaza, southern Lebanon & Syria, ruling out withdrawal from Gaza’s Yellow Line.

Katz said Israel controls more than 60% of Gaza and intends to reach 70%. If Hamas is judged to have failed its disarmament commitments, Israel will pursue further territorial & military action and seek U.S. coordination for three Nahal settlement nuclei in northern Gaza.

He also warned Turkey against strengthening Syria in ways Israel considers threatening.

The IDF said Hezbollah launched an explosive UAV at an Israeli engineering vehicle on the Ali al-Taher ridge overnight, causing no casualties.

Israel’s chief of staff said the IDF would not withdraw from territory it holds in Lebanon until long term security was assured and warned operations could expand. The IDF also said it destroyed a 55 meter Hezbollah underground command position.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said the Washington framework could succeed only with complete Israeli withdrawal synchronized with Lebanese Army deployment and a permanent end to Israeli attacks. European, Turkish NATO upported and Arab or Islamic alternatives to UNIFIL are being discussed.

Israel continued strikes and demolitions across southern Lebanon, with two people reported wounded near Nabatieh.

Lebanese reporting recorded Israeli detonations or demolitions around Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Tallousa, Kounine, Hadatha and Taybeh, alongside patrol activity and low flying UAVs.

An Israeli guided-UAV strike in the al-Aqida neighborhood of Nabatieh al-Fawqa reportedly wounded two people.

The IDF separately released new details concerning the earlier Ali al-Taher Ridge encounter, claiming its forces killed several Hezbollah personnel and confirming that an Israeli officer was moderately wounded.

Hezbollah has not confirmed the claimed deaths or identified the combatants.
