Looming Global Financial Crisis #October

I already pay more in taxes willingly, beat you to that punch decades ago. In all my tax forms I make sure the government takes more, not less, or what's required.

Even when I was young on my W2s I put down that I wanted the IRS to take more money than less out of my paychecks when I was a young lad.
Dude those are called withholdings on your w2 they either kept it to cover your tax burden or you got a refund

Not sure what your trying to prove DWS? Because I welcome it, always have, and made it clear many times I am in high favor of higher taxes. I am investing in my childs future in this country doing so.

Guess what? I'm still rich, didn't lose anything, and feel good about myself knowing I am doing my civic duty to help my country. :)
And your free to go on doing that and it makes zero difference to the debate.
Its irrelevant and immaterial to the tax code in america. So pat yourself on the back because that’s all that your accomplishing while you try to defend higher taxes with cover of I’m rich and am glad to pay more taxes.

I’m not rich and I want half of Washington fired and the IRS disbanded.
Not being rich means squat to the argument

How can the argument be raised without talking about the rich? As the topic is quite literally about the rich paying our fare share.

People get so aggressive about taxes. Says a lot.
Then make a cogent rational argument with out trying to provide shade to it with I’m rich and glad to pay more. Your wealth and willingness of part with it is irrelevant to the validity of the argument.
It’s a passive aggressive way of shutting down any argument to the topic.
“Oh your rich and glad to pay more so everyone should just shut up and defer to your civic and moral superiority.

I don’t care pay more if you want.
It won’t fix the economy or Washington.

Could you be more specific? I'm not challenging you on this point. I just want to know that I understand you properly.

At the end of the year, you fill out a 1040. It says you owe X dollars in taxes.

Do you make sure that you have paid the government X+Y dollars and don't claim a refund?

I don't file for refunds. So no I don't get a refund anyway, I did when I was younger though as mentioned above.

But even if you don't file for a refund you still have to file taxes in my case. More so with the market end in stocks and other things that are taxed and regulated which is a wide range of IRS documents I need to fill yearly. I mark to pay more in taxes though overall with the gains I make.

I have a guy at a Tax Place that handles most of it for me every year. I don't want to get into numbers or where I do my taxes that's a little personal. Haha

Edit: I also opted out to not collect social security benefits when I retired. Yes you can do that. NOTE billionaires can collect social security when they retire. When you retire their is no wealth or income limit to where you can collect social security which I think is very wrong.

Well, you're one of the few. Most people who call for higher taxes mean higher taxes for others, not for themselves.

I was talking to a liberal some years ago about taxes. He was all for higher taxes for the higher earners. I pointed out that he made more money than me, so his taxes should go up. No No No, he shouted. lol

Yeah, I know.

I look at it this way for myself. Just like people give a little at church services every week. Some donate a little, others donate more varying their income everyweek to ensure services continue & grow at the church.

I do think other wealthier individuals should pay more in taxes for a multitudes of good reasons, but I am not in congress now am I, just wishful thinking.

Taxes shouldn't be Dem or Rep issue. Its just what it is, a form of representation to pay for civil services. Different from the taxes from a king, US taxes get invested in the people or investments in the future, not funnelled to a sigular individual.

This is a great video:
This video goes into CCP businesses much more in debt than Evergrande. I.E CCP high speed rail company has 900 billion dollars in debt... video also lists other companies much more in debt than Evergrande.

These other companies debts in China make Evergrande debt look like a kindergartner debt to another kid for lunch money.

Oof. Once those big dominoes begin to fall will anyone be able to catch them?
There is just no way to catch a free falling Chinese market. Where talking just 5 companies alone in China hold together almost 4 trillion in debt. They default that 4 trillion in debt to all the banks, foreign businesses, and foreign investors will never be paid. It will be a nightmare.

Where talking about the giants here, where not even talking about the local businesses that feed these giants.
