Middle East Regional Conflict | Discussion --(CLOSED)

Ok so to make a quick recap, the Israeli attack was:
-Limited to a bunch of military targets, causing uncertain damage, besides 2 deaths
-Expected by Iran as Israel informed them via the Netherlands govt about all the details to avoid a retaliation.

Iran officials have told via other regional parties that they won’t retaliate.

Nothing fancy, it is evident that both the parties still don’t want to get involved in a major conflict.
And that again all the speculation made by the pseudo X’s osint shit during the past weeks over nuclear and oil facilities, was complete shit as usual.
And hopefully that is it, it is the customary way things play out.
If after all, if war is simply the continuation of diplomacy by another means. Look as this is a continuation of diplomacy via targeted attacks with impunity and minimal civilian casualties.
The odds of this occurring vs full scale war was always much more predictable .

Israeli sources told the Sky News channel in Arabic that the estimates in Israel are that Iran will need a whole year to restore its missile capabilities that were damaged in the attack tonight
‎@OmerShahar123
Their going to rebuild with the oil money and do it all over again kicking the can down the road. BUT next time Iran will have nukes.

Now it's a waiting game. Israel is probably looking at sat. imagery to see how effective they were. Iran is just waiting to get Israel back. I figure Israel isn't finished yet

I’m impressed and surprised by the ease with which the Israeli Air Force operated against Khamenei’s regime tonight. It reinforces my belief: if tiny Israel can achieve this, imagine the impact the U.S. could have with our vast capabilities—if we only had the will.

It’s so much more boring though than a full blown ME war thou isn’t it. Except of course for those there having to live, fight it, and suffer through it.

Get use to Iran being fully fledged nuclear armed nation that funds global terrorism unimpeded because we failed to stop it when we had the chance.
This might turn out to be true; might not. However, it is a personal opinion, not analysis of the current crisis. Please create a new thread in the Geopolitics, or other appropriate forum to foster debate on this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Umm that's my signature not a post. So you're ready to set the precedent no political signatures for anybody?

Great, now the cost of nets is gonna skyrocket because of the increased demand so that the Israeli settlement litterally on top of a Palestinian village can't throw things at the Palestinians below. I was really hoping to get a good deal on some nets soon :(

They wonder why Palestinians won't just calm down.

That isn't to say the wars aren't justified, but using the wars to create more illegal settlements or to further create a prison out of Palestine because the Israelis treat the west bank in a way that would make China blush from the level of surveillance and oppression and lack of freedom to travel even within the west bank, lack of freedom to live in their own home.

That's where I have major problems with Israel is that they have turned gaza and the west bank into carefully crafted prisons, with the excuse of some sort of self defense but behind closed doors it's because it's their promised land. And then they sit and wonder why extremists keep popping up.

Not saying this in support of any form of terrorism nor am I against the state of Israel as a country. I am just saying it disgusts me they use war as an excuse to oppress more.

The dead don't talk but their children don't forget, so in a short 20 years you will live to regret that.

What does it mean to be jewish?:

Very good video. Not to long either. Even if you know what makes someone the definition of "Jewish" still a good quick watch to help reinforce factual or formality of the religions.

Which this religion is saddly offen shrouded around misconception, misinformation, or out right conspiracies. So if you wish to truly learn what Judaism is, please watch.

“The R9X Sir? Excellent choice! We will have that right out.”
Well it would cut down on the collateral damage and fatalities.
Would be useful for a strike in Qatar. Tehran use conventional HE. It won’t be believed unless is makes a loud BOOM!

⚡️JUST IN: Ali Khamenei has directed Iran's Supreme National Security Council to prepare and attack Israel in response to the attack this weekend.

He made the decision after receiving a detailed briefing of the extent of the damage caused by the Israeli attack on the missile production sites and air defense systems. Khamenei reportedly said that the scale of the Israeli attack and the number of casualties are too great to ignore, and the lack of response will be interpreted as an admission of defeat.

Senior Iranian military officials have already prepared a list of dozens of military targets to attack in Israel, but the attack will most likely take place after the elections in the US, as Iran fears that such an attack before Tuesday may improve Trump's chances at winning. (NYT)
Not holding my breath. It's pretty much over. For now. Israel is going to continue and pick off Hezbollah & Hamas while Iran sits and watches.

I've even switched backed to green text, non crisis color in my reporting for M.E if anyone's noticed.

If anything is going to happen it will be under a Trump presidency. Which even elected will take some time before he is in office acting as official head of state before he can even begin to officially act against Iran. Which by that time Iran may very well have a bomb or two. Likely will be to late by then to do anything without risking Tel Aviv potentially being vaporized or "best" worst case scenario becoming radioactivly contaminated instead of vaporized.
