At least 5 unknown NATO warships have been operating with unusual 'running patrol' or readiness track by Skagen, ie entry to Baltic Sea and also commonly a loiter spot for Russia. A few hours ago the area was passed by Russian Syrian express, possible destroyer-escorted. The practice of running patrols, as stated in manuals and explained by sailors, is a way of keeping the ship fully ready for any circumstance, ie a heightened state of alert.

Russia launches Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from the Sea of OkhotskThe missile was launched from the nuclear-powered submarine Generalissimo Suvorov.
Russia's Defense Ministry claims that its warheads successfully reached the designated target area at the test range. The Generalissimo Suvorov is part of Russia's Pacific Fleet and can carry up to 16 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles, which can be equipped with nuclear warheads.
Similar tests have been conducted before, including from the same submarine. Officially, the launch was part of routine combat training.
  • Russia conducted a submerged launch of a Bulava ICBM from the Borei-A class submarine Generalissimo Suvorov in the Sea of Okhotsk on October 28, 2026, with warheads reportedly reaching the Chizha test range in Arkhangelsk region as part of scheduled Pacific Fleet training.
  • The Generalissimo Suvorov, commissioned in 2022, carries up to 16 Bulava missiles designed for nuclear warheads with MIRV capability, forming a core element of Russia's sea-based strategic nuclear deterrent.
  • The test follows a similar 2022 launch from the same submarine and demonstrates long-range operational readiness across Russia's territory amid ongoing global military tensions.

According to AIS-data a Swedish warship is moving slowly right at the border of Kaliningrad since yesterday noon UTC.If veracious: Sweden is signaling (and collecting signals) by letting everyone know. The Visby corvette is impervious to the heavy local GPS-spoofing.
  • Post content: @auonsson shares AIS tracking video showing a Swedish warship (labeled as Visby corvette) moving slowly at 1-3 knots right on Kaliningrad's maritime border since Oct 27 noon UTC, with timestamps from Oct 27-28, 2026.
  • Analysis and caveats: Suggests Sweden is deliberately signaling presence and collecting intel in a heavily GPS-spoofed zone; questions if the track is genuine or falsified, citing 2021 Russian spoofing of Swedish vessels' AIS near Kaliningrad as precedent.
  • Context: @auonsson is a Baltics-focused OSINT account; Visby corvettes are stealthy Swedish Navy ships currently undergoing air defense upgrades, operating amid heightened regional naval tensions. Grok

Russian spy ship tracked by Japan near the Tsushima Strait!. Japan deployed the minesweeper HIRASHIMA and a P-1 maritime patrol aircraft to monitor its movements.
  • The X post by maritime OSINT account @TiaFarris10 details Japan's tracking of Russian Navy intelligence ship KARELIYA (SSV-535), a Project 864 Vishnya-class vessel, as it transited southwest through the Tsushima Strait on October 27-28, 2026, entering the East China Sea.
  • Japan’s Self-Defense Forces deployed the minesweeper HIRASHIMA and a P-1 maritime patrol aircraft to monitor the Soviet-era spy ship, which specializes in intercepting communications and radar signals.
  • The post includes a labeled photo of the KARELIYA at sea and a tracking map of the Japanese response near Sasebo, reflecting ongoing scrutiny of Russian naval movements in waters between Japan and South Korea. Grok
