Under the proposed legislation, outdoor recreational facilities would not be allowed to operate lights between 11 PM and 5 AM unless an event had already started before 11 PM.

“ALL OUTDOOR LIGHTING FIXTURES SHALL BE SHIELDED AFTER JANUARY FIRST,
TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-EIGHT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OUTDOOR LIGHTING
FIXTURES INSTALLED AT RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AND MUNICIPAL
BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES”.

Sorry but I like the security lights at my house. I don't live in New York thankfully and wouldn't comply if I did.

So if some kids are playing hoops in front of the garage after 11pm they could be violating the law if they chose not to do it in the dark?

Is NY purposely trying to look like DPRK

No one who actually LIVES in NY wants this B.S. Anymore than we want Mamdani's proposed ruinous estate tax. I assure you he, and Hochul are not popular among the actual taxpayers.
