Opinions on America building a new bomber?

I want your guys's opinion on America building a new bomber.

If I'm correct, they are making a "B3" but who knows how that is going.

My opinion,

I really think we need to build a new bomber. One that can for sure be supersonic stealth bomber. Maybe over speeds of Mach 3+. Who knows if our B2 is actually "stealthy" anymore. For sure the bomber is slow, but with the advances in radar tech... is it truly stealthy anymore as it was?

Or maybe we should focus on making satellite launched weapons/space launched. As jets now a days could be intercepted quickly.

ICBM's/ stealth cruise missiles are the future. Faster and smaller then bombers, much easier to build saturating amounts of them, and much easier/cheaper to store then bombers.

Only positive that bombers have is the propaganda value.. Nothing quite as scary as a large aircraft like a B1 doing a low pass over you at close to supersonic speeds. Especially if you know its hunting you.

And B-52's/B2's will be still able to roflstomp 3rd world countries that don't have the ability(budget) to fight like a world power.

And who is gonna pay for this crap anyway? Isn't US hanging on to enough debt?

As for space based weaponry, it again comes to money.. At an average of around 10k USD/lb to lift stuff to space, unless its something extremely light or extremely powerful, the price/yield just doesn't seem realistic. At least until we get cheaper methods of launching things into orbit.

The answer is obviously no. As Ketatrypt said, ICBM's/Stealth Cruise Missiles are the future. We're wasting more money on something that'll quickly so out of date.
