I think the important point is that it most likely wasn’t Putins limo, but just one in a fleet.

If one of Trump's limos was to blow up, do you think we would focus on the fact that he wasn't in it, or on the fact that someone managed to get close enough to do it?

If Putin’s limo was indeed attacked, and he’s already issued public warnings that an attempt on his life would be met with nuclear retaliation regardless of whether Ukraine or the U.S. was involved this situation becomes a bit more contentious. U.S. intelligence sharing with Ukraine has been cut off, it significantly reduces the likelihood that this was a U.S. orchestrated operation. That leaves two plausible scenarios:

1. Ukrainian Autonomous Action: Ukraine may have acted independently, believing that taking out Putin could decisively change the course of the war. If that’s the case, even though the U.S. wasn’t involved, Russia could still perceive this as a NATO-backed action, especially given Putin’s repeated claims that Ukraine acts as a Western proxy. That perception alone might be enough to push Russia to escalate dramatically.

2. Internal Kremlin Power Struggle: This could be an inside job by factions within the Kremlin who are dissatisfied with Putin’s leadership, particularly after the prolonged failures in Ukraine and increasing domestic instability. If this was an internal plot, it suggests a level of desperation or serious fractures within Putin’s inner circle either an attempt to remove him or send a message that his time is running out. But even if it’s an internal plot, Putin might not acknowledge that publicly and could still blame Ukraine or the West to justify a nuclear response.

False flag? ( just the first thing that comes to my mind )
A false flag is definitely a possibility that can’t be ignored. If this was staged by Russian intelligence or loyalists around Putin, it could serve multiple purposes:

1. Justification for Escalation: A false flag assassination attempt gives Putin the perfect pretext to escalate, potentially to nuclear options even though unlikly could open the nuclear option up though again unlikly, under the guise of “self-defense.” He’s made it clear that any attempt on his life would cross a red line, and this event could provide the rationale to retaliate with overwhelming force either against Ukraine or unlikly but possible NATO.

2. Consolidation of Power: If this was orchestrated by factions loyal to Putin, it could be a move to consolidate his grip on power by rooting out internal dissent. An attempted assassination real or fabricated would justify mass purges within the Kremlin, giving Putin the authority to eliminate rivals or disloyal figures under the guise of “national security.”

3. Manipulating Public Opinion: A false flag could rally domestic support around Putin at a time when his approval may be waning, particularly after years of stagnation in Ukraine and mounting economic hardship. Framing himself as a victim of a Western-backed assassination attempt could reignite nationalist fervor and justify extraordinary measures.

However, internal power struggle remains just as likely, if not more so. The timing makes sense since Russia’s position has stabilized significantly since Trump resumed office, with aid to Ukraine largely cut off, giving Russia room to maneuver and make slow but steady advances. If factions within the Kremlin feel that Putin is not taking advantage of this momentum or they disagree with his strategy (especially if they view him as too cautious), an internal coup or power move wouldn’t be out of the question.

Putin has always walked a tightrope between hardliners, oligarchs, and military elites. If one of those factions believes they could do a better job advancing Russian interests especially with Trump signaling a shift in U.S. policy this might be their moment to strike.

If this is an internal coup attempt, and it fails, Putin’s response will be brutal. Expect purges, executions, and possibly mass arrests across the Kremlin and military leadership.

Putin's car blows up! Reports indicate no one was in the car at the time. Zelensky just said "Putin will die soon." Putin has said any attempt to assassinate him would be met with a nuclear response. Was this a bomb or mechanical error?

If this isn’t a vehicle fire and is instead an attempt to blow up a vehicle then I need to reassess two things in life one the pressure wave of modern explosives and the incredible strength of Russian cars.

Not a bombing IMO

Which is why I’m skeptical of this “Car”. What if it was just a car in a Russian fleet that included the under commissar of the department of insect control, or some such underling. So far, something seems off. I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out to be connected to some organized crime beef.
Time will tell…..maybe.

Also, is Putin, Trump, or any world leader going to leave their ride parked out under a lamppost on a public street at night?

I don’t see any vehicle of a high level individuals just parked on the street. It could be a FSB vehicle dedicated to Putin’s protection.

Just like how would the SS behave if this was one of the vehicles in Trumps transportation.
I don’t see a dedicated vehicle to trumps detail just parked on the street seemingly unattended.
Still significant but it certainly doesn’t look like an explosion and likely not Putin’s vehicle

Possibly it was placed in anticipation for Putin to be in the vehicle in the future but prematurely detonated/malfunctioned. Somthing I don't think anyone's said of yet.
