Am I the only one who still uses those? Getting rid of the penny will just let companies use that as an excuse to raise their prices a dollar I feel like.
Maybe we could just shift to a material representative of its true cost.Do you know it costs us 2.72 cents to make one penny. It's time for the penny to go.![]()
Where already using the cheapest of the cheapest materials to make pennies. Unless you want the penny to be so physically weak you can bend it with simple efforts with your own hands.Maybe we could just shift to a material representative of its true cost.
Look, I hate Trump with a flying passion. But this is actually something with logic and reason an ryme to it. It's time for the penny to go much like many of our western alliance has.Where already using the cheapest of the cheapest materials to make pennies. Unless you want the penny to be so physically weak you can bend it with simple efforts with your own hands.
At that point we should just get rid of the penny before it becomes chewing gum. Metaphorically and physically.
As someone who owns businesses I can admit sometimes I forget the common class struggle....Eh it's going to hurt more people than ya think, Especially in those neighborhoods where people sometimes have to 'count their pennies' to pay for simple things. You're probably right it will be a good thing for our government spending. But as usual the people who will feel the effects are at the bottom, where they can be easily ignored. It'll be funny to watch this trend progress as someone that will hopefully see well into the 2060s. I mean how long until inflation is so high they can't produce quarters? That would be something haha
