Putin Introduces Law to Dump the Dollar and Euro in the Entire EEU
Russian President Vladimir Putin has drafted a bill that aims to eliminate the US dollar and the euro from trade between CIS countries.

This means the creation of a single financial market between Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries of the former Soviet Union.

“This would help expand the use of national currencies in foreign trade payments and financial services and thus create preconditions for greater liquidity of domestic currency markets”, said a statement from Kremlin.

The bill would also help to facilitate trade in the region and help to achieve macro-economic stability.

There goes another 25% of the world that will dump the dollar. Currency war from China and Russia and all their 'unions' are accelerating our demise, along with NATO. Expect a US response shortly.

This seems like a foolish move on the part of Putin, like his decision to dump European food imports. Doesn't he know that this'll affect him only further and make the ruble less valuable? Gosh, why haven't the Russian people woken up at this point?

Very true and your understanding of economics surpasses 99% of most 'adult' Americans.

Here is the deal. All currencies are devaluating to make their exports more affordable to attract volume instead of price, kinda like a world central bank Walmart.

The Russian people have been through much more deadly economic situations than this, including communism, starvation, etc. They think Putin can do know wrong and much like in the US during WWII, are willing to make what are extreme economics concessions to fight the 'evil' US (pushed by their trolls).

The way China, Russia and their economic allies see it is this way. We would rather suffer moderately now than severely later while supporting the evil empire's debt party at our expense while the US builds missile bases on our borders. All the while the US is being painted as Nazi Germany. That's just what the current opinion polls say at least, whether it's true or not.

Man I wish we had about 35 million of you for our next generation. ;)

Yeah, but all it might take to throw Russia into chaos is one man (other than Putin), or in the middle of a protest, police open fire, which might lead to "that one man."

Ouch. This is gonna hurt. Wonder if markets are gonna go down for the week now.

You can count on they will continue to go down until there is no more market, as it is now(already the 'market is not what it was originally invented as). There will be days it goes up, but we were at 18500 within the last 6 months. So the trend is down overall and will continue until more QE, level off for literally a flash, then take the final dive.

Look, when the Dollar continues to become radioactive to huge economic unions and 70% of the planet, countries will have no use to hold them while we print more of them and they become Zimbabwee style worthless. They have already stopped buying the Dollar and huge segments have began selling them back to the only buyer, us.

The FED had around $800B on its books in '09, now they have $4.5T because no one is buying (and that's just what they admit to). The FED is requiring the TBTF banks already to put dollars on their balance sheets. And soon will require pensions and 401Ks to have a mandatory percentage. No one is buying dollars, they are selling (unless they fear for their lives).

But before that, expect more money printing. They do it now by stealth or proxy (the EU and Japan), but soon will have to announce it to stop the all-out crash, should they chose.

People can disagree, but the FEDs mission, whether intentionally or by actions, is to destroy the dollar, not save it. Why else would they have abused it to the point of worldwide rejection? They just wants steal as much hard assets as they can and get to New Zealand or underground before 'it' happens.

The European Union agreed Wednesday to a second extension of sanctions against Russian firms and individuals and Ukrainian separatists, for another six months, until March 2016. On the same day, the United States added 29 more individuals to its sanctions list against Russia, Reuters reported.

Told you to expect a US response shortly. Well, within 24 hours, here we go.. More currency wars quickly involving trade wars, and they are intensifying.

Could the currency wars lead to a war? That's what I'm nervous about.

There's a slight possibility. Will it actually occur though? To illustrate the likelihood, look below.

Roll three dice. If all three of them are aces, proceed to the next stage.
Pick a card. If it is a spade, then I'd suggest you'd take cover as we've probably got a war on.

An economic crisis (though not a currency war) was the basis for war in the movie Countdown to Looking Glass.

I remember that. It's on YouTube if I'm correct.
