« France and the United Kingdom are nuclear powers, and we are fully aware of this, but in terms of the weapons we possess, we are unmatched » - Vladimir Putin.
The X post from @L_ThinkTank shares Vladimir Putin's October 1, 2026 statement from the Valdai Discussion Club, where he acknowledges France and the UK as nuclear powers while claiming Russia possesses unmatched "means of destruction" as a key competitive advantage.
The attached video shows Putin delivering the remarks, with the full context including warnings that any direct attack on Russia, such as on Kaliningrad, would prompt use of all available weapons.
Russia's nuclear stockpile remains the world's largest by warhead count, though France and the UK maintain advanced, independently controlled deterrents integrated with NATO strategy. Grok
