I think things are grim and on a slow boil with the latest on Hermit leader.

I would point out that every generation thinks things are at an all time low or worse. In the 1970 and early 80’s we were setting active ambushes in the DMZ and both sides we shooting at each other seemingly daily. Nothing says we mean it like a sucking chest wound. We were sinking each others boats and ships overtly and sending Special Forces raids deep into each others country. The North actually got a team to directly attack in and around the Blue House (ROK White House) planes and helicopters were shot up and shot down. On the North’s side they killed some (most afaik) survivors.

U2’s flew daily flights and CAP was a real thing. Artillery was fired on both sides positions and drones ballon bombs and defectors (both ways) were common.

Today is rather sedate, well except for the nuclear bomb in the room. North Korea still doesn’t pose an existential threat to the US (but Hawaii and the old growth NW will probably get lit up… thank you Obama for canceling orders for ABM missiles, you asshole. We are still about playing catch up as these spacecraft (that’s what they are) are not growing on Elons trees.

Ok End rattle and pontifications for today.

My 2¢ YMMV

Wonder if NK will do anything when China invades Taiwan. US will be occupied, but then US will be right there.

Still though, what exactly is NK going to do for what reason? Invade the South? To what end?

Nuclear blackmail is all they got. "Give us <x> or we nuke Seoul."

What is your best estimate on the China Taiwan conflict? Some experts see it as soon as this year.

Some reports of China building troop transport vessels.

I think they had a better chance under Biden, but economic realities prevented it.

They are going to wait to see what Trump actually does before making a decision.

Reunification, isn't that why they invaded the first time.

I think those missiles flying over Japan make them a little nervous also.

While speculation grows over DORK Taiwan and the CCP.
The FBI wakes up!
China has infiltrated US infrastructure with malware.
How long of we been talking and siting sources here and Chris Wray finally decided it’s important to tell us our public infrastructure control systems are infected.

I have had that this next four years will not be a biological virus we need to. E concerned with. Rather digital virus’s.
