A new high-powered microwave system that can knock swarms of drones out of the sky at once is going to "touch every aspect of warfare," according to Epirus founder, Joe Lonsdale.

"It’s kind of like a Star Trek shield," Lonsdale, founder of Epirus and a co-founder of fast-rising defense technology company Palantir, explained of its Leonidas counter-drone system. "It’s able to turn them off from very far away."

Been following Palantir for quite some time. Keep an eye on them. They are etching out to be one of the biggest military contractors of the 21st century. Also the thought of do we keep UAS with these kind of counter measures, or how do we counter the counter? Interesting times for warfare right now kind of feels like how the Bicycle/Motorcycle was aptly applied as a mobile force carrier and then immediately rescinded its usefulness after the war.

Sounds good but would high powered microwaves affect humans? Guess it's better than getting blown up though. 🤔
The major difference being radiated energy and focused energy.
Think sunlight vs sunlight under a magnifying glass
Or cordite exploding outside a barrel vs in one
That’s oversimplified

I can tell you one thing when i put my "ears" on i can hear a some kind of signal from the phone, on my personnel phone i broke the connection between my phone and google so that's a good thing but i have to restart my phone to get the google functions back. my work phone yea it's got a great signal coming from it.
