The situation in Ukraine has prompted the DEFCON Warning System to issue a statement about the events and set our stance on how we view current events.
Although we feel that the situation is dire for the people who live in the effected area, it is a regional conflict that currently does not involve the United States in a significant capacity. The DEFCON Warning System is based around warning against possible threats of nuclear weapons use. In this case, Ukraine is not one of them at this time nor for the foreseeable future. If the time becomes appropriate for the DEFCON Warning System to respond to this matter in a more direct way, the public will be able to find information at http://www.defconwarningsystem.com or the message board at http://www.defconwarningsystem.com/phpBB3/.
