The EU plans to equip itself with a force to be deployed quickly without US means by 2025

The European Union plans to equip itself with a military force of 5,000 soldiers by 2025 in order to be able to intervene in various crisis situations without having to depend on the United States, shows a draft document.

5000 troops . Who do they plan on stopping? The EU has been talking about it's own force for ten years now and none of the other nations cares to put any money or set aside troops for it which seems silly to me. 5000 from the whole of EU seems so petty, just like the union itself.

Germany can't even deploy two full Armor brigades anymore and once again dipped out on their promise to spend their share of GDP to be in NATO the second Trump was forced out.

France is the only nuclear heavyweight the EU has now that Britain left. Although all of the EU put together can easily put out a lot more than 5000 troops. That just shows a lack of commitment on their part.
