That's the impression I got. Wondering if this indicates something is coming.

Morning guys! We had another "Seahawk" Skyking at 1229z. Other than that it was all about the EAMs, as Zanting posted.

Full list:

14:26:00
14:30:00
14:44:00
14:58:00
15:04:00
15:13:00
15:17:00
15:19:00
15:34:00
16:06:00
16:32:00
18:36:00
18:40:00
20:44:00
21:13:00
21:41:00

Odd length messages were 1458z with 47 char, 1513z with 40 char, and just now (2141z) we had a big 81 char message.

21 calls for the day so far, putting yesterday's 8 to shame, but pretty much bang on average.

You can't hear it on the uTwente site unless the weather and solar conditions are basically perfect.
Only on clear nights can it be heard.

Morning guys - I guess the US military has knocked off early and gone for a long weekend because the traffic today has been abysmally low. I count only four (yup) EAMs with 90 minutes left in the UTC day. By far the lowest traffic day since I started taking records.

12:11:00
13:18:00
13:34:00
19:50:00

There were quite a few radio tests in between those but otherwise super dead.

They could be using another frequency you aren't monitoring.

Absolutely, @metal1957 mentioned there has been some comms on 7504khz.

Do they usually keep exercise traffic on different channels?

Regardless, any "real" comms would have to go out via all the usual HF-GCS freqs.

Very quiet tonight.

Morning guys! Bit of a weird day yesterday with loads of Skykings and lots of activity outside of usual times. Still only 17 messages in the UTC day though.

01z saw a flurry of Skykings - codewords "Husky", "Gators", and most interesting was the codeword "Russia". There were at 0120z, 0134z, and 0152z respectively.

EAMs followed at 0624z, 0641z, 0645z, 0653z, then another Skyking at 0831z with codeword "India".

1318z saw an EAM "for Batch 61" that @Metal1957 commented on: "AUTOSHOP on 13200 with 30 character EAM For BATCH 61,FNZFUN preamble. TACAMO alert launch ?"

Shortly after we had another Skyking with codeword "Tigers" at 1324z, then it was all EAMs for the rest of the night - 1348z, 2016z, 2022z, 2027z, 2032z, 2118z, 2148z.

"Russia"; really? Weird.

My thoughts exactly. If you're going to have a codename, why make it the name of a country?
