There should be Skyking tests around this time and nothing on there tonight
dwatcher said:Yep every night there are skyking tests the logs are great but unless you use more than 1 source at the same time they are kind of limited I see also the times you post if your over seas that puts the logs in US EST daytime hours every day there is heavy HF traffic norm training between 8AM to 3PM EST US over seas would be night hours so your night is our daytime if I am seeing your posts right
dwatcher said:Here we go was looking at some of your logs and you had a Skyking listed 03:28:00UTC Skyking Led Zeppelin YH That would be around 11PM 11:28 PM US EST
that would be a norm Skyking test time in the US EST time zone I found the best way is to have at least 3 sources at the same time if possible to get the big picture of what is going on say Mich SDR on 8992 and Netherlands on lets say 11175 and if you have your own Gear pick 6739 or any mill channel and log all and record them at the same time. I would need to go back and see what logs I have and recording as I don't do it every day just don't have the time any more it seems. I may set something up to see what may be missed and compare the times just to see if it falls in those heavy HF training times by no means am I trying to say anything bad here just trying to help out and we all are grateful for your time and effort in logging all this. It is 10:56 PM US EST time now and on a norm night a Skyking would go out by 11:30 PM US EST so will see what happens in the next 30 mins or so

Godparent out.
(I'm beginning to think the "standing by" thing is more procedural than functional)

I think it's a little bit of both considering it only happens at certain times. It might be an indicator of when they have an increased level of staffing at the desks or something.

I think it's an "anything else? No? Ok, i'm off" type deal. Except in a formal way.
