When I worked in material engineering we used a high pressure water cutter for titanium and associated metals, also for ceramics. Heatless cutting with nil distortion from high pressure, I mean really high pressure, water. We've got a titanium 3D printer at the uni (they won't let us use it though cuz it's too expensive lmao)
Relatively common stuff in engineering labs now, not surprised it's being used more widely in industry.
Cool stuff.
Yeah seen those in action. Good stuff. When I worked in material engineering we used a high pressure water cutter for titanium and associated metals, also for ceramics. Heatless cutting with nil distortion from high pressure, I mean really high pressure, water.
They get a bit hypnotic don't they. Is a technology most people would not even think about. It is just water after all.Yeah seen those in action. Good stuff.
